5. Maintenance
Cleaning the Trackball:
Over time, dust and debris can accumulate around the trackball, affecting its smooth operation. To clean the trackball:
- Gently push the trackball from the bottom of the mouse (through the small opening) to remove it.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth or cotton swab to wipe the trackball clean.
- Clean the inside of the trackball cavity, paying attention to the small sensors.
- Reinsert the trackball into its socket until it clicks into place.
6. Troubleshooting
Mouse Not Responding:
- Ensure the mouse is powered on.
- Check battery level and charge if necessary.
- Verify the correct connection mode (2.4G, BT1, or BT2) is selected on the mouse and your device.
- For 2.4G connection, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your device.
- For Bluetooth connection, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the mouse is paired. Try re-pairing if necessary.
- Restart your computer or device.
Cursor Movement is Erratic or Unresponsive:
- Clean the trackball and its cavity as described in the Maintenance section.
- Adjust the DPI setting to a lower value if the cursor is too sensitive, or a higher value if it's too slow.
- Check your device's mouse settings for cursor speed and acceleration.
Frequent Disconnections:
- Ensure the mouse is within the effective range of your device (typically 10 meters for Bluetooth/2.4G).
- Minimize interference from other wireless devices.
- Ensure the mouse battery is sufficiently charged.
- Update your device's Bluetooth drivers if applicable.
