5. Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The Level Lock Pro uses a CR2 battery. The Level Home app will notify you when the battery level is low. To replace the battery, follow the instructions provided in the app or refer to the installation guide for accessing the battery compartment.

Cleaning

Clean the lock's visible surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or internal components.

Firmware Updates

Ensure your Level Lock Pro's firmware is kept up to date through the Level Home app. Regular updates provide the latest features, security enhancements, and performance improvements.

6. Troubleshooting

Lock Not Responding

  • Check Battery: Verify the CR2 battery has sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
  • App Connection: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and the Level Home app is connected to the lock.
  • Recalibration: If the lock is not operating smoothly, try recalibrating it through the Level Home app.

Difficulty Locking/Unlocking

  • Door Alignment: Check if the door and strike plate are properly aligned. Misalignment can prevent the deadbolt from extending or retracting fully.
  • Screws: Ensure all installation screws are tightened appropriately. Overtightening or undertightening can affect mechanism operation.

Remote Access Issues

  • Hub/Bridge Connection: Confirm your Matter-compatible hub or Level Connect Wi-Fi Bridge is properly set up and connected to your home network.
  • Internet Connection: Verify your home internet connection is active.
