1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Garvee PTC909A Portable Electric Space Heater. This 2-in-1 ceramic heater and fan is designed to provide efficient and quiet heating or cooling for various personal spaces. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and optimal performance.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, please observe the following:

  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap.
  • Do not use this heater in wet or moist locations.
  • Do not use this heater in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations.
  • Always place the heater on a firm, level surface.
  • Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Tip-Over Protection: The heater is equipped with an automatic tip-over switch that will turn the unit off if it is accidentally knocked over.
  • Overheat Protection: The heater will automatically shut off if it overheats. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down before restarting.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack the Heater: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater from any combustible materials.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the heater directly into a 120V~60Hz wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

4. Operating Instructions

The Garvee PTC909A heater features two control knobs on the top for power/mode selection and thermostat adjustment.

4.1 Power/Mode Selection Knob (Left Knob)

This knob controls the power and operating mode of the heater. Rotate the knob to select your desired setting:

  • OFF (0): Turns the heater off.
  • FAN ONLY (Fan Icon): Activates the fan without heat, circulating cool air.
  • LOW HEAT (I - 750W): Provides a gentle heat output of 750 watts.
  • HIGH HEAT (II - 1500W): Provides powerful heat output of 1500 watts for rapid warming.

4.2 Thermostat Control Knob (Right Knob)

This knob allows you to adjust the desired room temperature. Once the room reaches the set temperature, the heater will automatically turn off. It will turn back on when the temperature drops below your setting.

  • Rotate clockwise for higher temperature settings.
  • Rotate counter-clockwise for lower temperature settings.

4.3 Using the Heater

  1. Plug the heater into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the Power/Mode Selection knob to your desired heat setting (LOW or HIGH) or to FAN ONLY.
  3. Adjust the Thermostat Control Knob to your preferred temperature.
  4. The power indicator light will illuminate when the heater is operating.
  5. To turn off the heater, rotate the Power/Mode Selection knob to the "OFF" (0) position.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: Do not attempt to open or repair the heater yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

6. Troubleshooting
