Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Ensure all accessories are present and the toaster is free from damage.
  2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls, curtains, and other flammable materials. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
  4. Initial Use: Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (Level 6) for one cycle. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and odors. A slight smoke or odor is normal during this initial process.

Operating Instructions

Controls Overview

  • Browning Control Dials: Two independent dials (one for each pair of slots) allow you to select toast shade from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest).
  • Cancel Button: Immediately stops the toasting cycle and ejects the bread.
  • Bagel Button: Activates the bagel function, which toasts the cut side of the bagel while warming the outer side.
  • Defrost Button: Thaws and then toasts frozen bread.
  • High-Lift Levers: Allows for easy removal of smaller items like English muffins or bagels.

Toasting Bread

  1. Insert up to four slices of bread into the extra-wide slots.
  2. Select your desired browning setting using the browning control dial (1-6).
  3. Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. The toaster will automatically eject the bread when the cycle is complete.
  5. To stop toasting at any time, press the Cancel button.

Using the Bagel Function

The extra-wide slots (1.5 x 6 inches) accommodate various bread types, including bagels and thicker slices.

  1. Insert bagel halves into the slots with the cut side facing inwards.
  2. Select your desired browning setting.
  3. Press the toast lever down, then press the Bagel button. The bagel indicator light will illuminate.
  4. The toaster will toast the cut side and warm the outer side of the bagel.

Using the Defrost Function

  1. Insert frozen bread into the slots.
  2. Select your desired browning setting.
  3. Press the toast lever down, then press the Defrost button. The defrost indicator light will illuminate.
  4. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to first thaw and then toast the bread.

After the toasting cycle is complete, you can gently lift the toast lever further upwards to raise smaller items higher for easier and safer removal.

Cleaning the Crumb Tray

  1. Ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool.
  2. Pull out the two removable crumb trays located at the bottom rear of the toaster.
  3. Discard crumbs and wipe the trays clean with a damp cloth.
  4. Dry thoroughly before reinserting them into the toaster.
  5. Clean crumb trays regularly to prevent crumb buildup, which can cause fires.

Exterior Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  • Ensure the toaster is completely dry before plugging it back in.
