4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Taking a Temperature Reading

  2. Insert the stainless steel probe into the center of the food item, avoiding bones, until the tip is fully immersed. For liquids, ensure the probe is submerged without touching the bottom or sides of the container.
  3. Wait for the temperature reading on the digital display to stabilize. This typically takes a few seconds.
  4. Read the displayed temperature.
  5. After use, clean the probe thoroughly (see Section 6: Care and Maintenance).
  6. Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the thermometer, or it will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.

5. Automatic Calibration Function

The Ejoyous Digital Meat Thermometer features an automatic calibration function designed to maintain its accuracy over time. This function typically operates in the background and does not require manual intervention under normal circumstances.

If you suspect the thermometer's accuracy is compromised, you can perform a simple ice-bath test to verify its calibration:

  1. Fill a glass with crushed ice and add a small amount of cold water, ensuring the ice is tightly packed.
  2. Insert the thermometer probe into the center of the ice bath, making sure the probe tip is fully submerged and not touching the bottom or sides of the glass.
  3. Allow the reading to stabilize. A properly calibrated thermometer should read 0°C (32°F).
  4. If the reading deviates significantly, the automatic calibration system may adjust it over time, or you may need to contact customer support for further assistance.
