4. Controls and Functions

Key Components:

• Tuning Dial: Located on the side for manual frequency selection.
• Volume Control: Adjusts audio output level.
• Mode Button (MOD): Switches between Radio, Bluetooth, and MicroSD playback modes. Double-press to activate Music Rhythm Lamp.
• EQ Button: Cycles through available equalizer presets.
• Playback Controls: Play/Pause, Next/Previous track buttons.
• USB Type-C Port: For charging and connecting the 3.5mm headphone adapter.

5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation and Charging

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
2. Insert the provided 1000mAh lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4. Connect the USB Type-C charging cable to the device's USB-C port and a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
5. The charging indicator lamp will illuminate during charging. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.

5.2. Antenna Setup

• For FM/SW/Wide FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully.
• For improved reception, especially for Shortwave, connect the external extension antenna to the designated port.
• AM reception uses an internal bar antenna and does not require extending the telescopic antenna.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button to turn the device on or off.

6.2. Radio Operation

1. Press the MODE button to select the Radio mode (FM, AM, SW, or Wide FM).
2. Tuning Methods:
   • Manual Tuning: Rotate the tuning dial on the side to adjust the frequency.
   • Automatic Tuning (ATS): Press the SCAN button to automatically scan and save available stations. The device can store up to 99 presets per band.
   • Preset Selection: Use the M+ / M- buttons to navigate through saved preset stations.

6.3. Bluetooth Playback

1. Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode. The device will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon.
2. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, search for "ZWS-700" in the Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
3. Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the ZWS-700 speaker.
4. Use the playback controls on the ZWS-700 or your connected device to manage music.

6.4. MicroSD Card Playback

1. Insert a MicroSD card (up to 256GB) with MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, or FLAC audio files into the MicroSD card slot.
2. Press the MODE button to select MicroSD playback mode.
3. The device will automatically start playing music from the card.
4. Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous) to navigate your music.
5. Press the EQ button to cycle through 6 available equalizer sound effects.
6. The MicroSD playback also supports 4 repeat modes: All songs, Single song, All songs in folder, and Random all songs.

6.5. APP Control

1. Download the dedicated ZHIWHIS control application from your smartphone's app store.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the ZWS-700 is in Bluetooth mode.
3. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your ZWS-700.
4. The app allows for remote control of various functions, including tuning, mode selection, volume, and EQ settings.

6.6. Music Rhythm Lamp

While the device is powered on, quickly press the MODE button twice to activate the music rhythm lamp. The lights will flash in sync with the music playback.

6.7. Sleep Timer

1. The sleep timer function allows the device to automatically power off after a set period.
2. Refer to the device's display or the app for timer settings. The timer can be set in 10-minute increments, up to a maximum of 70 minutes.

6.8. Headphone Use

Connect the included USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack cable to the USB-C port on the device, then plug your 3.5mm headphones (not included) into the adapter for private listening.

• Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place. Remove the battery if storing for several months.
• Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its lifespan. Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Antenna Care: Handle the telescopic antenna gently to prevent bending or breaking.
