1. Introduction

The Suptig Wireless Remote Control (Model RSX-464) is designed to provide convenient remote operation for your GoPro cameras and smartphones. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of your device.

2. Setup and Pairing

2.1 Charging the Remote

2.2 Pairing with GoPro Cameras

1. Ensure your GoPro camera's Bluetooth is enabled. Refer to your GoPro's manual for specific instructions on enabling Bluetooth and pairing mode.
2. On the Suptig remote, press and hold the Power and Mode buttons simultaneously for approximately 2 seconds.
3. The remote's LED indicators will flash. For GoPro pairing, the red, blue, and green icons will flash.
4. On your GoPro camera, navigate to the connection settings and select to pair a new device. Look for "Suptig-V1" in the list of available devices.
5. Once connected, the remote's LED indicators will stop flashing and display the current GoPro mode.

2.3 Pairing with Smartphones (iOS/Android)

1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. On the Suptig remote, press and hold the Power and Mode buttons simultaneously for approximately 2 seconds.
3. The remote's LED indicators will flash. For smartphone pairing, a single yellow icon will flash.
4. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices. Select "Suptig-V1" to connect.
5. Once connected, the remote's LED indicator will stop flashing.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Controls

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds to turn the remote on or off.
• Mode Switching (GoPro): Short press the Power/Mode button to cycle through GoPro modes (Video, Photo, Time-Lapse).
• Shutter/Record: Press the Red Circle button to start/stop recording video or take a photo.
• HiLight Tag (GoPro): During video recording, press the Red Circle button to add a HiLight Tag.

3.2 LED Indicator Guide

The remote features a color LED display to indicate its status and the connected device's mode:

• Wi-Fi Icon (White): Indicates connection status.

The remote can control up to 5 GoPro cameras simultaneously. After pairing the first GoPro, repeat the pairing process for additional cameras. Ensure all cameras are within the remote's operating range.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning and Storage

• Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

• Ensure the remote is fully charged before long-term storage to preserve battery health.

4.2 Water Resistance

The remote is designed with water-resistant materials and can be used in wet conditions up to 2 meters (6.5 feet). However, the USB-C charging port is exposed. While the port itself may be sealed against water ingress, prolonged exposure to water, especially saltwater, can lead to corrosion of the contacts. It is recommended to rinse the remote with fresh water and dry it thoroughly after use in wet environments, particularly if used in saltwater.

5. Troubleshooting

• Remote Not Powering On: Ensure the remote is fully charged. If the issue persists, contact support.
• Unable to Pair with Device:
  • Ensure the remote is in the correct pairing mode (GoPro or smartphone).
  • Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your camera/smartphone.
  • Make sure the remote and device are within close proximity (e.g., 1-2 meters) during pairing.
  • Try restarting both the remote and the camera/smartphone.
• Commands Not Instantaneous: A slight delay between pressing a button and the action occurring on the camera is normal for some GoPro models. This typically does not affect recording if the camera's hindsight feature is enabled.
• Remote Unresponsive: If the remote becomes unresponsive, try resetting it by holding the power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds) or allowing the battery to fully discharge and then recharging it.
