4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your Lefant M3 robot vacuum.

4.1 Emptying the Dustbin

The docking station automatically empties the robot's dustbin into its larger 3.2L dust bag. Check and replace the dust bag in the docking station approximately every 8 weeks, or as indicated by the app.

4.2 Cleaning/Replacing Mop Pads

The docking station automatically washes the mop pads with hot water. Periodically, remove the mop pads from the robot and hand wash them or machine wash them gently. Replace mop pads every 1-3 months depending on usage.

4.3 Cleaning/Replacing Side Brushes

Inspect the side brushes regularly for tangled hair or debris. Remove them by pulling them upwards and clean them. Replace side brushes every 3-6 months or when visibly worn.

4.5 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the robot's sensors (cliff sensors, obstacle sensors) and the charging contacts on both the robot and the docking station with a clean, dry cloth. This ensures proper navigation and charging.

5. Troubleshooting

If your Lefant M3 encounters an issue, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the docking station is powered on and the charging contacts on both the robot and dock are clean and aligned.
  • Robot not starting/responding: Check if the battery is charged. Try pressing the power button. If unresponsive, perform a soft reset by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
  • Abnormal noise during operation: Check the main brush, side brushes, and wheels for tangled hair or debris. Clean them as per the maintenance section.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Empty the dustbin, clean/replace filters, clean the main brush and side brushes. Ensure the water tank is filled for mopping.
  • Robot getting stuck frequently: Clear obstacles from the cleaning path. Use the app to set no-go zones for areas where the robot consistently gets stuck. Clean obstacle sensors.
  • App connection issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Restart your router, robot, and phone. Re-attempt the connection process in the app.

For persistent issues, consult the Lefant app for specific error codes or contact customer support.
