4. Setup

4.1 Component Identification

Familiarize yourself with the manifold's ports and controls:

• Power Button: Located on the side.
• Magnetic Hook: For convenient mounting.
• High/Low Temp Interface: Ports for wired temperature clamps.
• USB-C Charging Port: For charging the manifold and data export.
• Valves: 1/4" SAE and 3/8" SAE ports for refrigerant hoses.

4.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the EMG-40Vpro manifold and the VGW-mini vacuum gauge using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the cable to the respective charging ports and a suitable USB power adapter (not included).

4.3 App Installation

Download the Elitech Tools App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your mobile device. This app is essential for remote monitoring, data analysis, and firmware updates.

4.4 Connecting Components

1. Refrigerant Hoses: Connect the appropriate refrigerant hoses to the manifold's 1/4" SAE and 3/8" SAE ports as required for your HVAC system.
2. VGW-mini Vacuum Gauge: Screw the VGW-mini directly onto a service port or a manifold port for vacuum measurements. Ensure a tight seal.
3. Temperature Clamps:
   • Wireless Clamps (IPT-01): Power on the clamps. They will automatically attempt to connect to the manifold or the Elitech Tools App via Bluetooth. Attach them securely to the refrigerant lines.
   • Wired Clamps: Plug the wired temperature clamps into the designated high and low temperature interfaces on the manifold. Attach them securely to the refrigerant lines.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the side of the manifold to turn the device on or off. The touch screen will illuminate upon startup.

5.2 Navigating the Interface

The EMG-40Vpro features a 5-inch touch screen. Navigate through menus and settings by tapping icons and swiping. The main screen displays real-time pressure, temperature, and vacuum data.

5.3 Bluetooth Connectivity (App)

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
2. Open the Elitech Tools App.
3. The app will scan for nearby Elitech devices. Select your EMG-40Vpro manifold and IPT-01 clamps from the list to connect.
4. Once connected, you can view real-time data, configure settings, and initiate data recording from the app.

5.4 Selecting Refrigerant

On the manifold's touch screen, navigate to the refrigerant selection menu. Choose the appropriate refrigerant type for the system you are working on from the list of 88 supported refrigerants.

5.5 Performing Measurements

1. Pressure: Once hoses are connected to the system, open the manifold valves as needed to measure high and low side pressures. Readings will display on the screen.
2. Vacuum: With the VGW-mini connected, initiate a vacuum process. The gauge will display micron readings, allowing you to monitor evacuation progress.
3. Temperature: Ensure temperature clamps are properly attached to the refrigerant lines. The manifold will display the measured temperatures.

5.6 Data Recording and Export

The EMG-40Vpro can record up to 100,000 data points. To start recording, use the on-screen controls or the Elitech Tools App. To export data, connect the manifold to a computer via the USB-C cable. The device will appear as a storage device, allowing you to transfer recorded data files.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the manifold, vacuum gauge, and clamps with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure all ports are free of debris before and after use.

6.2 Storage

Store the device and its accessories in a clean, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Ensure all components are fully charged before long-term storage.

6.3 Firmware Updates

Regularly check for firmware updates via the Elitech Tools App to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features. Follow the in-app instructions for updating.
