5. Setup Instructions

5.1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment (E) on the back of the remote control.

4. Ensure the battery is correctly seated with the positive (+) side facing up.
5. Close the compartment cover securely.

5.2. Pairing the Remote Control with XbotGo Chameleon

The remote control connects to your XbotGo Chameleon via Bluetooth. Follow these steps:

1. Ensure your XbotGo Chameleon camera is powered on.
2. Press and hold the Power Button (A) on the remote control until the indicator light begins to blink, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. Open the XbotGo app on your smartphone.
4. Navigate to the "Device Management" section within the app.
5. Select "Add Device" or "Connect Remote" and choose the XbotGo Chameleon Remote Control from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
6. Once connected, the indicator light on the remote will stop blinking and remain solid.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Starting and Stopping Recording

• To start recording, press the Record Button (B) once.
• To pause recording, press the Record Button (B) once again.
• To resume recording after a pause, press the Record Button (B) once more.
• To stop recording completely, press and hold the Record Button (B) for a few seconds.

6.2. Highlight Tagging

• During recording, press the Mark Button (C) to instantly tag a significant moment. This creates a marker in your footage that the XbotGo Cloud uses for automatic highlight generation.

6.3. Steering Control

• Use the Directional Pad (D) to manually adjust the XbotGo Chameleon camera's orientation.
• Press the top part of the pad to tilt the camera up.
• Press the bottom part of the pad to tilt the camera down.
• Press the left part of the pad to pan the camera left.
• Press the right part of the pad to pan the camera right.

7. Maintenance

• Keep the remote control clean and dry. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe its surface.
