4. Setup and Installation
The VEVOR 8KW All-in-One Diesel Air Heater is designed for relatively straightforward installation. However, professional installation is recommended for optimal safety and performance, especially when integrating into a vehicle's electrical and fuel systems.
4.1 Site Selection
- Choose a stable, level surface for the heater.
- Ensure adequate clearance around the heater for air intake and exhaust.
- The exhaust outlet must be routed to the exterior of the vehicle/space, away from windows, doors, or air intakes.
- Ensure the power source (DC 12V-24V) is easily accessible and can handle the heater's power requirements.
4.2 Component Assembly
- Mounting the Heater: Secure the heater to the chosen surface using the provided base mounting screws and nuts.
- Connecting the Intake Pipe: Attach the intake pipe to the designated inlet on the heater. Ensure a tight seal using the appropriate clamps.
- Connecting the Exhaust System:
- Attach the exhaust pipe to the heater's exhaust outlet.
- Install the heat insulation protection shield over the exhaust pipe to prevent burns.
- Connect the silencer to the end of the exhaust pipe.
- Route the exhaust pipe safely to the exterior, ensuring it is clear of any obstructions and heat-sensitive materials. Use exhaust pipe lugs and clamps to secure it.
- Connecting the Air Outlet Pipe: Attach the air outlet pipe to the hot air output port. Use the airflow direction rotating connector if needed to direct the warm air.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the heater to a DC 12V-24V power source. Ensure correct polarity.
- Fueling: Fill the 5L fuel tank with clean diesel fuel. Do not overfill. The fuel gauge will indicate the level.
Important: Before first use, it is recommended to prime the fuel system according to the instructions in the user manual to ensure proper fuel delivery and prevent startup issues.
