4. Setup

4.1. Installing the SIM Card(s) and Battery

  1. Open the back cover of the phone.
  2. Insert your SIM card(s) into the designated slot(s). The MM834L supports Dual SIM functionality. Ensure the gold contacts face downwards and the card is correctly oriented.
  3. Insert the battery into its compartment, aligning the contacts.
  4. Replace the back cover, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

4.2. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the phone's battery. Connect the charging cable to the phone's USB-C port and plug the other end into a power adapter. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status. A full charge typically takes a few hours.

4.3. Powering On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the End Call/Power button (red button) until the screen lights up.
  • To power off: Press and hold the End Call/Power button until the power off options appear, then select 'Power off'.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Making Calls

  1. Open the flip to activate the main screen.
  2. Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
  3. Press the Call button (green button) to initiate the call.
  4. To end a call, press the End Call button (red button).

5.2. Answering Calls

  • When the phone rings, open the flip to answer the call automatically, or press the Call button.
  • To reject a call, press the End Call button.

5.3. Sending and Receiving Messages

  1. From the main menu, navigate to 'Messages'.
  2. Select 'Write message' or 'New SMS'.
  3. Enter your message using the keypad.
  4. Enter the recipient's phone number or select from your contacts.
  5. Select 'Send'.

5.4. SOS Function

The MM834L features a dedicated SOS button for emergencies.

  • To activate: Press and hold the SOS button on the back of the phone for a few seconds.
  • The phone will automatically call and send an emergency SMS to pre-set contacts.
  • Ensure emergency contacts are set up in the phone's settings under the SOS menu.
