1. Introduction

2. Package Contents

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

1. Before first use, fully charge the RoboSeal unit using the provided USB-C charging cable.
2. Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port on the RoboSeal unit and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
3. The digital battery indicator will show the charging progress. A full charge is indicated when the display shows 100%.

3.2 Preparing Jars and Lids

• Ensure mason jars are clean and dry before use.
• Use only standard mason jar lids that are in good condition, free from dents or damage. The kit includes 5 large and 5 small lids.
• For optimal sealing, ensure the rim of the jar is clean and free from food debris.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Sealing a Mason Jar

1. Place your food item into a clean mason jar. Do not overfill; leave adequate headspace (approximately 1 inch from the rim).
2. Place a compatible mason jar lid (either regular or wide-mouth) onto the jar. Ensure the lid is centered and flat on the jar rim.
3. Position the RoboSeal unit directly on top of the lid, ensuring it is centered and covers the lid completely. For regular mouth jars, use the removable converter.
4. Press the power button on top of the RoboSeal unit. The unit will begin to extract air from the jar.
5. The RoboSeal unit features an auto-stop function and will automatically stop once a sufficient vacuum seal is achieved.
6. Carefully remove the RoboSeal unit from the jar. Test the seal by gently trying to lift the lid. If properly sealed, the lid should be concave and resist lifting.

4.2 Opening a Sealed Jar

To open a vacuum-sealed jar, use the provided jar opener. Hook the opener under the edge of the lid and gently pry upwards until the seal breaks and air enters the jar. The lid can then be easily removed.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the RoboSeal Unit

• Wipe the exterior of the RoboSeal unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water or any other liquid.
• Ensure the sealing gasket on the bottom of the unit is clean and free from food particles to maintain an effective seal.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2 Battery Care and Storage

• Store the RoboSeal unit in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% every few months to prolong battery life.
• Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

• Unit not turning on: Ensure the unit is fully charged. If the digital battery indicator shows low power, recharge the unit.
• Jar not sealing:
  • Check that the jar rim is clean and dry, free from any food debris.
  • Ensure the mason jar lid is new and undamaged. Used lids may not seal effectively.
  • Verify the RoboSeal unit is centered correctly on the lid and pressed down firmly.
  • Check the sealing gasket on the RoboSeal unit for any damage or debris.
• Weak vacuum seal: This can be caused by the same issues as a jar not sealing. Re-check all points above. Ensure sufficient headspace in the jar.
• Digital battery indicator not working: If the unit is charging but the indicator is not updating, try restarting the unit by holding the power button for a few seconds. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
