4. Setup and Connection

Follow these steps to connect the ANCEL BT410 to a battery for testing:

  1. Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle's engine is turned off and all electrical loads (lights, radio, etc.) are switched off.
  2. Connect Clamps: Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure a secure connection. The tester will power on automatically once connected.
  3. Select Battery Type: On the tester's screen, navigate to the 'Battery Test' menu. Select the correct battery type (e.g., AGM, Flooded, Lithium) and the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) rating of your battery. This information is usually found on the battery label.

5.2. Cranking Test

This test evaluates the vehicle's starting system by monitoring voltage during engine cranking.

  • From the main menu, select Cranking Test.
