Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Open the cover by sliding or gently prying it off.
- Insert one CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side faces upwards.
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely. The device should power on automatically and display current temperature and humidity.
2. Placement
The TM-2TH offers multiple placement options:
- Standing: Use the integrated kickstand to place the device on any flat surface.
- Hanging: Utilize the built-in hook to hang the device from a rack or hook.
- Magnetic: Attach the device to any metallic surface, such as a refrigerator door, using its magnetic backing.
Choose a location that provides accurate readings for the area you wish to monitor, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources.
Operating Instructions
1. Reading Display
Upon activation, the device will display the current temperature and relative humidity. The temperature is typically shown in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F), and humidity as a percentage (%).
2. Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)
Locate the °C/°F button, usually on the back or side of the device. Press this button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
3. Viewing MAX/MIN Records
The device automatically records the highest (MAX) and lowest (MIN) temperature and humidity values since the last reset. To view these records:
- Press the MAX/MIN button once to display the maximum recorded values.
- Press the MAX/MIN button again to display the minimum recorded values.
- Press it a third time to return to the current temperature and humidity display.
4. Resetting MAX/MIN Records
To clear the recorded MAX/MIN values and start a new recording cycle:
- While viewing the MAX or MIN records, press and hold the MAX/MIN button for approximately 3 seconds.
- The display will flash, indicating that the records have been reset to the current temperature and humidity.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the device stops functioning, it is time to replace the CR2032 battery. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup" section to replace the battery.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. Ensure the sensor openings are free from dust and debris for accurate readings.
3. Storage
If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage and store it in a cool, dry place.
