Assembly Instructions

This bed frame is designed for straightforward assembly. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps. An electric screwdriver with a hex head bit can expedite the process, but avoid over-tightening screws.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
  2. Assemble Side Rails: Connect the two long side rails using the provided metal brackets and bolts. Ensure all connections are secure.
  3. Attach Headboard and Footboard: Secure the upholstered headboard and footboard to the assembled side rails using the designated hardware.
  4. Install Hydraulic Lift Mechanism: Attach the hydraulic gas struts to the bed frame according to the instructions. These struts facilitate the lifting and lowering of the mattress platform.
  5. Place Wooden Slats: Insert the wooden slats into the plastic clips along the metal frame. Ensure each slat is firmly seated in its clip. The slats are designed to provide sturdy support for your mattress.
  6. Secure Anti-Fall Devices: Install the metal brackets at the head of the bed frame. These devices prevent the mattress from sliding when the platform is lifted.
  7. Connect Charging Station: Plug the power cord from the headboard's charging station into a wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

Hydraulic Lift-Up Storage

The bed frame features a hydraulic lift system for easy access to under-bed storage. To lift the mattress platform, grasp the hand lifting strap located at the foot of the bed and gently pull upwards. The hydraulic struts will assist in raising the platform smoothly and holding it in an open position, revealing a spacious 10.8-inch storage compartment. To lower, gently pull the platform down, guiding it back into place. It is recommended to use two hands for controlled lowering, though it can be managed with one.

The hydraulic lift mechanism raises the bed platform, exposing the large storage area beneath, ideal for bedding and other items.

Built-In Charging Station

The upholstered headboard includes a functional top shelf with an integrated charging station. This station features two standard AC outlets, one USB-A port, and one Type-C port. Simply plug your devices into the appropriate port for convenient overnight charging. Ensure the bed frame's main power cord is connected to a live wall outlet for the charging station to function.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: For the upholstered parts, use a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent for spot cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals. For the metal frame, wipe with a dry cloth.
  • Slat Care: The wooden slats are designed for durability. The EVA mute foam helps reduce noise; ensure these strips remain in place.
  • Hydraulic System: The hydraulic system is designed for long-term use. If you notice any stiffness or difficulty in lifting/lowering, ensure no obstructions are present. Do not attempt to disassemble the hydraulic struts.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain stability.

Troubleshooting

  • Difficulty with Hydraulic Lift: If the hydraulic lift feels stiff or difficult to operate initially, it may require a few uses to loosen up. Ensure no items are obstructing the mechanism. If the bed is fully made, the added weight of the mattress and bedding will make it easier to lower.
  • Headboard Movement: The headboard may have a slight amount of movement. This is generally acceptable, especially when the bed is placed against a wall. Ensure all headboard connections are securely tightened.
  • Slat Noise: The bed frame is designed with EVA mute foam to reduce noise from the slats. If you experience creaking, check that all slats are properly seated in their plastic clips and that the foam strips are intact.
  • Assembly Alignment Issues: If you encounter minor alignment issues during assembly, double-check that all parts are correctly oriented and that screws are not overtightened. Loosen relevant screws, adjust alignment, and then re-tighten.
