3. Setup Guide
3.1 Physical Installation
The camera is designed for easy installation. Follow these steps for mounting:

- Insert Power Adapter: Connect the power adapter to the camera and plug it into a power outlet.
- Connect to WiFi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your WiFi network.

3.2 Network Connection
The camera supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi frequencies, offering enhanced flexibility and stability. It automatically selects the optimal WiFi for connection based on your network environment.

Equipped with two 4dBi WiFi antennas, the camera ensures a stronger and more stable signal, reducing concerns about offline status. For optimal performance, ensure the camera is within a reasonable range of your WiFi access point. One user review noted that the effective WiFi range was approximately 10 meters from the access point, which might be reduced further by obstacles like rain shutters.

3.3 App Installation and Initial Setup
Download the "BoifunCam" app (available for iOS and Android) to manage your camera. While the initial setup process can be complex, the app provides the necessary steps. Ensure you grant necessary permissions for the app to function correctly. Some users have found the app's Japanese translation to be slightly awkward, requiring some trial and error for preferred settings.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 PTZ Control and Monitoring
The 5MP high-definition resolution combined with 360° PTZ rotation allows the camera to capture clear image information over a wider range, minimizing blind spots and enhancing the comprehensiveness and accuracy of surveillance. This eliminates the need for multiple cameras to monitor a large area, saving costs and installation space.

4.2 Motion Detection and Tracking
The security camera can automatically detect and track pedestrians or other moving objects in the video. When abnormal activity or an intruder is detected, the camera immediately tracks them and sends relevant information to the user. This intelligent surveillance method significantly improves security efficiency and reduces the burden of manual monitoring. It is suitable for both home and public/business security applications.

You can define specific detection areas to minimize false alarms. The camera detects movement based on changes in the image, not infrared heat signatures.

4.3 Night Vision and Alarms
The camera features a large aperture and powerful fill lights to provide both illumination and warning/deterrent effects. 4.6 24-Hour Recording and Storage

5. Maintenance

6. Troubleshooting
- Poor Night Vision Clarity: While the camera offers color night vision, its clarity in very dim conditions relies on auxiliary light. Expecting vivid images in complete darkness at this price point may be difficult.
- Limited WiFi Range: The effective WiFi range can be approximately 10 meters from the access point. Obstacles like rain shutters may further reduce this range. Ensure the camera is placed within optimal WiFi signal strength.
- App Usability: Some users find the app's interface and Japanese translations challenging. Experiment with settings and refer to the detailed instruction manual for guidance.
- ONVIF Setup: To enable ONVIF, first connect the camera via the BoifunCam app. Then, access detailed settings within the app to toggle ONVIF on/off.
- Power Source Limitations: The camera uses a USB 5V power source with a fixed 3m cable. Ensure a power outlet is available within this range, as the cable is not detachable. It does not support 12V power or PoE.
