Battery charging
The batteries inside the doorbell are not fully charged according to transportation safety regulations. Please charge the batteries using a USB-compatible wall charger (not included) and the provided USB cable for about 8-10 hours before installation.
Battery management:
Battery life depends on the activation frequency. Here are some settings to avoid unnecessary power loss:
- Set the recording time to 20-30 seconds, which is sufficient for daily needs.
- Lower the "Motion Detection" sensitivity or enable the "Human Motion Detection" function.
- If the doorbell faces the main road, adjust its angle to prevent unnecessary activation.
- Ensure Wi-Fi signal strength is over 75%. If it's lower than 75%, the doorbell may be continuously activated. Install the camera closer to the router or use a Wi-Fi extender to improve performance. If issues persist, email admin@boifun.net.
Download the app
Download and install the "BoifunCam" App from Google Play™ or the App Store™. The app is also available by scanning QR codes with your smartphone's QR code scanner.
Note: If your device does not support downloading the 'BoifunCam' app, search for and download the 'CloudEdge' software from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Note: A small number of mobile phone models may not be compatible with BoifunCam. Boifun apologizes for any inconvenience. If you encounter this, please send your phone model via email to admin@boifun.net. Boifun is optimizing the software and has prepared backup software "CloudEdge" for download. Your understanding and kindness are greatly appreciated.

FAQS
Q1: Why I failed to set up Wi-Fi for the doorbell?
A1: 1) Device works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, but not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. 2) Wi-Fi network is not good; try to keep the camera near the Wi-Fi router when setting up. 3) The Wi-Fi password is wrong. Please check if there are special characters in the password, or if the network is specially encrypted.
Q2: How to improve the battery life performance?
A2: 1) Set the recording time to 20-30 seconds, which is sufficient for daily needs. 2) Lower the "Motion Detection" sensitivity or enable the "Human Motion Detection" function. 3) If the doorbell faces the main road, adjust its angle to prevent unnecessary activation. 4) Ensure Wi-Fi signal strength is over 75%. If it's lower than 75%, the doorbell may be continuously activated. Install the camera closer to the router or use a Wi-Fi extender to improve performance.
Q3: How do I know if I have 2.4G or 5G Wi-Fi?
A3: Please check your router's user manual or contact your network operator.
Q4: Does it have to be on the same Wi-Fi to see the camera, or can it be viewed over the internet from anywhere?
A4: You can view the camera from anywhere, provided it is well connected to the internet.
Q5: Are recordings saved to the cloud, or mainly to the built-in SD card?
A5: It supports both SD card recording and cloud storage. You can activate the cloud storage service in the App.
Q6: What happens when the SD card is full?
A6: When the memory card is full, the camera automatically erases the oldest footage.
Q7: Why does it lose connection to Wi-Fi?
