4.2. Powering the Wireless Charger

For the wireless charging function to operate, it requires a separate power connection:

  1. Locate the dedicated Type-C power port for wireless charging on the side of the CD-ROM drive. This is separate from the data ports.
  2. Connect the provided power cable to this port.
  3. Connect the other end of the power cable to a power adapter with a minimum output of 15W. Note: The 15W power adapter is not included and must be supplied by the user for optimal charging performance.

5. Operating the CD/DVD Drive

5.1. Inserting and Ejecting Discs

  1. To Insert: Press the eject button on the front of the drive. The disc tray will open. Carefully place a CD or DVD onto the tray with the label side facing up. Gently push the tray back into the drive until it clicks.
  2. To Eject: Press the eject button on the drive, or use the eject function within your computer's operating system.
  3. Forced Ejection: In case of power failure or if the eject button does not work, insert a small, pointed object (like a paperclip) into the forced ejection hole on the front panel to manually open the disc tray.

5.2. Reading and Writing Discs

The drive supports high-speed reading and writing for various disc formats:

  • Supported Formats: CD-ROM, CD±R/RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, DVD±R/RW, VCD, SVCD, M-discs.

5.3. Mac System Specific Tips

When connecting the optical drive to a Mac system, the drive icon may not immediately appear on the desktop. After inserting a disc, a disc icon should appear, and the disc will play with the correct playback software.

7. Using the USB Hub and Card Reader
