Setup
Follow these steps to set up your GK108 keyboard:
- Connect the USB Cable: Locate the Type-C port on the back of the keyboard. Connect the Type-C end of the provided USB cable to the keyboard and the Type-A end to an available USB port on your computer.
- Cable Routing Options: The keyboard features three-way cable outlets on the bottom, allowing you to route the USB cable to the left, middle, or right for a tidy desk setup.
- System Compatibility: The keyboard is plug-and-play and compatible with Windows 10/8/7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Mac OS. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality.

Operating Instructions
RGB Backlight Control
The GK108 features 16.8 million color RGB backlighting with multiple dynamic lighting modes. No drivers are needed for basic backlight control.
- Available Modes: Twilight, Small Ripple, Music Rhythm, Rainbow and Waves, Gradient Wheel, Spectra, and Single Light modes.
- Refer to the keyboard's quick function guide (often printed on the keycaps or included in a separate leaflet) for specific key combinations to cycle through modes, adjust brightness, and change colors.
Programmable Layers and Macros
The GK108 supports three fully programmable layers, allowing extensive customization of key functions and macros. To access advanced programming features, download the dedicated driver software from the official Skyloong website.
- Layer 1: DIY User Mode
- Press Fn + 6^ to enter DIY User Mode. The "6^" key will light white.
- Press Fn + W again to return to standard mode.
- Layer 2: DIY Mac OS Mode
- Press Fn + 7& to enter DIY Mac OS Mode. The "7&" key will light white.
- Press Fn + E again to return to standard mode.
- Layer 3: FNX Function Definition Mode
- Press Fn + 8* to enter FNX Function Definition Mode. The "8*" key will light white.
- Press Fn + R again to return to standard mode.

Hot-Swappable Switches
The GK108 features hot-swappable sockets, allowing users to change KTT Brown switches with other compatible optical switches without soldering. This feature extends the keyboard's lifespan and offers customization flexibility.
- To remove a switch, use the included switch puller tool to gently grip and pull the switch upwards.
- To install a new switch, align its pins with the sockets on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the switch is properly seated to avoid damage.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your keyboard:
- Cleaning Keycaps: Use the included keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean them with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
- Cleaning the Keyboard Base: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the switches. Wipe the surface with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Avoid Liquids: Do not spill liquids on the keyboard. If a spill occurs, immediately disconnect the keyboard and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting.
- Storage: Store the keyboard in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
