2. Product Overview
2.1 JOYO D57 Buffer Pedal
The JOYO D57 Buffer Pedal is designed to maintain signal integrity over long cable runs and complex pedalboards. It features an IN BUFFER, OUT BUFFER, and a GAIN control, along with a BOOST switch.
- IN BUFFER: Supports a more effective and closer connection between your guitar and effect chain, preserving the original signal level into the effects.
- OUT BUFFER: Connects between the effect chain and your amplifier system, ensuring your output signal reaches your amplifier perfectly.
- GAIN: Adjusts the overall gain level of the buffered signal.
- BOOST: A footswitch to engage an additional boost for solos or emphasis.

2.2 JOYO JP-02 Guitar Pedal Power Supply
The JOYO JP-02 Power Supply provides stable and isolated power to multiple effects pedals, minimizing noise and ensuring consistent performance. It features multiple output ports with independent protection.
- Multi-outputs: 10 isolated output ports, including 7x9V/100mA, 1x9V/500mA, 1x12V/100mA, and 1x18V/100mA.
- Independent Protection System: Each output is equipped with independent short-circuit and current-limiting protection. If a fault occurs, only the affected output is cut off, while others continue to operate.
- Noiseless and Stable: Delivers stable, low-noise power to reduce current noise interference, providing clean power for your pedal chain.
- Compact and Portable: Designed to fit easily on pedalboards and in guitar cases.

3. Setup Instructions
3.1 JOYO D57 Buffer Pedal Setup
- Power Connection: Connect a DC 9V, 800mA (minimum) power supply with a central negative polarity to the 9V DC input jack on the pedal. (Power supply not included with the D57 pedal itself, but provided in this bundle by the JP-02).
- Input Connection: Connect your guitar or the output of your first effect pedal to the 'IN BUFFER' input jack.
- Output Connection: Connect the 'OUT BUFFER' output jack to the input of your next effect pedal or directly to your amplifier.

3.2 JOYO JP-02 Power Supply Setup
- Main Power Connection: Connect the included 18V DC power adapter to the 'DC 18V IN' jack on the JP-02 Power Supply. Plug the adapter into a standard AC outlet.
- Pedal Connections: Use the included DC power cables to connect your effects pedals to the appropriate output jacks on the JP-02. Ensure the voltage and current requirements of each pedal match the output port you select. For example, connect the D57 Buffer Pedal to a 9V/100mA output.
- Polarity: All output jacks on the JP-02 are standard center-negative. If a pedal requires center-positive power, use the included polarity reversal cable.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 JOYO D57 Buffer Pedal Operation
- Once powered, the D57 pedal is active. The buffer circuit is always on to maintain signal integrity.
- Use the GAIN knob to adjust the overall output level of the pedal. Start with the knob at 12 o'clock and adjust to taste.
- Press the BOOST footswitch to engage the boost function. This provides an additional volume increase, useful for solos.
4.2 JOYO JP-02 Power Supply Operation
- After connecting the main power and your pedals, the blue LED indicators above each output port will illuminate, indicating power is being supplied.
- In the event of a short circuit or overload on a specific output, the corresponding blue LED will turn off, and power to that output will be cut. The other outputs will remain operational. This indicates a fault with the connected pedal or cable.

5. Maintenance
- Keep both units clean by wiping with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Do not expose the units to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the units to strong impacts.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected and free from damage. Replace any frayed or damaged cables immediately.
- When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power supply from the AC outlet.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power to Pedals (JP-02):
- Check if the main 18V DC adapter is securely connected to the JP-02 and plugged into a working AC outlet.
- Verify that the blue LED for the specific output port is illuminated. If not, check the connected pedal and cable for short circuits.
- Ensure the pedal's voltage and current requirements do not exceed the selected output port's specifications.
- Signal Loss or Weak Signal (D57):
- Ensure the D57 pedal is receiving proper 9V DC power.
- Check all input and output cables for secure connections and damage.
- Test the pedal in a simpler signal chain to isolate the issue.
- Adjust the GAIN knob to an audible level.
- Excessive Noise/Hum:
- Ensure all pedals are connected to isolated outputs on the JP-02.
- Check for ground loops by trying different power outlets or isolating power to other equipment.
- Verify that all audio cables are shielded and in good condition.
