2. Safety Information

• A circuit breaker (max. 16A) is required for the installation circuit.

4. Setup and Installation

Installation of the OSRAM SMART+ WiFi 2-Channel Switch Module requires professional electrical knowledge. It is designed for flush-mount installation within a standard electrical box.

4.1 Electrical Installation

1. Power Disconnection: Before starting, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is turned off at the circuit breaker. Verify with a voltage tester.
2. Wiring: Connect the module according to the wiring diagram provided in the product documentation. Ensure correct connections for Live (L), Neutral (N), Output 1 (01), Output 2 (02), Switch Input 1 (S1), and Switch Input 2 (S2). The module operates on 220-240V.
3. Mounting: Carefully place the module into the electrical box. Ensure all wires are securely connected and not pinched.
4. Power Restoration: Once installation is complete and verified, restore power at the circuit breaker. The module's indicator light should illuminate.

4.2 App Installation and Pairing

To control your OSRAM SMART+ module, you need to install the OSRAM SMART+ app on your smartphone or tablet.

1. Download the App: Search for "OSRAM SMART+" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or scan the QR code on the product packaging (refer to Image 4.2).

2. Create Account: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account or log in.
3. Add Device: In the app, select "Add Device" or a similar option. Follow the app's instructions to put the switch module into pairing mode (usually by pressing and holding the reset button for a few seconds until the indicator light blinks).
4. Connect to WiFi: The app will guide you through connecting the module to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Ensure your smartphone is also connected to the same 2.4 GHz network during pairing.
5. Name Device: Assign a name to your switch module and its individual channels for easy identification.

4.3 Smart Home Integration

Once paired with the OSRAM SMART+ app, you can integrate the module with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control.

• For Alexa: Open the Alexa app, go to "Skills & Games," search for "OSRAM SMART+", enable the skill, and link your OSRAM SMART+ account. Then, discover devices.
• For Google Assistant: Open the Google Home app, tap "Add" (+), then "Set up device," and "Works with Google." Search for "OSRAM SMART+", link your account, and assign devices to rooms.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 App Control

The OSRAM SMART+ app provides full control over your switch module.

• Switching: Tap on the device in the app to toggle connected appliances On/Off for each channel.
• Energy Monitoring: View real-time and historical energy consumption data for both channels within the app.
• Schedules & Timers: Set up automated schedules or timers for your connected devices.
• Scenes & Automations: Create custom scenes or automations to control multiple devices simultaneously or based on specific conditions.

5.2 Voice Control

Use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to control your connected devices.

• Example Commands (assuming device named "Living Room Light 1" and "Living Room Light 2"):
  • "Alexa, turn on Living Room Light 1."
  • "Hey Google, turn off Living Room Light 2."
  • "Alexa, turn on all living room lights." (If grouped in the Alexa app)

5.3 Manual Control (if applicable)

If traditional wall switches are connected to the S1/S2 inputs, you can still control the connected lights/appliances manually. The module will reflect the state change in the app.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Ensure power is off before cleaning. Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the OSRAM SMART+ app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Environmental Conditions: Ensure the operating environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.

7. Troubleshooting

If problems persist, perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button for approximately 10 seconds until the indicator light changes behavior (e.g., rapid blinking). Note that a factory reset will erase all settings and require re-pairing.
