1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Aeitto Countertop Ice Maker. This appliance is designed to provide you with fresh ice quickly and conveniently. Capable of producing 9 ice cubes in just 6 minutes and up to 26 pounds of ice per day, it offers two different ice cube sizes to suit your needs. Its compact design and self-cleaning function make it an ideal addition to any home, kitchen, office, bar, or RV.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, electric shock, or injury when using your ice maker, follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Do not touch the evaporator or ice basket when the unit is operating.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the ice maker is used by or near children.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Use only potable water.
  • Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.
  • Ensure proper air circulation around the unit (at least 5 inches of space on all sides).
  • Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or when not in use.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove your ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including foam and tape. Inspect the unit for any damage. If any damage is found, do not operate the ice maker and contact customer support.

4.2 Placement

Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight and other heat sources (e.g., stove, furnace, radiator). Ensure there is at least 5 inches of clear space around the unit for proper ventilation. This helps maintain optimal performance and prevents overheating.

4.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section for detailed cleaning instructions.

4.4 Adding Water

Open the top lid and pour potable water into the water reservoir. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line. Ensure the ice basket is properly placed inside the unit before adding water.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on. The 'POWER' indicator light will illuminate. Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the unit off.

5.2 Selecting Ice Size

This ice maker produces two sizes of bullet-shaped ice cubes. Press the SELECT button to toggle between 'SMALL' and 'LARGE' ice cube sizes. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.

5.3 Ice Production Cycle

Once powered on and ice size selected, the ice maker will automatically begin the ice-making process. Water is pumped to the ice tray, where it freezes around the ice-making prongs. After the ice forms, it is released into the ice basket.

5.4 Indicators

  • ADD WATER: This indicator light will illuminate when the water reservoir is low and needs refilling. The ice maker will pause operation until water is added.
  • ICE FULL: This indicator light will illuminate when the ice basket is full. The ice maker will automatically stop producing ice until some ice is removed.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The ice maker features a convenient self-cleaning function:

  1. Ensure the unit is plugged in and has water in the reservoir.
  2. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds. The 'CLEAN' indicator light will illuminate, and the cleaning cycle will begin.
  3. The cleaning process typically takes about 15 minutes.
  4. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, drain the water from the unit (see 'Draining Water' below).

6.2 Regular Cleaning

For optimal performance and hygiene, it is recommended to clean the ice maker once a week, especially if used frequently. Use a mild detergent and warm water to wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storage or next use.

6.3 Draining Water

To drain water from the unit, locate the drain plug at the bottom of the ice maker. Place a container beneath the plug, then remove the plug to allow water to drain completely. Once drained, securely replace the plug.
