Setup and Installation

The SNDOAS range hood supports both ducted and ductless (recirculating) installation. Choose the appropriate method for your kitchen setup.

Ducted Installation

For ducted installation, the range hood vents cooking fumes and odors outside through an aluminum duct. The included aluminum duct is used for this purpose.

Ductless (Recirculating) Installation

For ductless operation, an optional SNDOAS activated carbon filter kit (#CF-1001G) is required (not included). This filter cleans the air before recirculating it back into the kitchen.

Cleaning Exterior Surfaces

  • Wipe surfaces with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the finish.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your range hood, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Fan not operating: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and if the circuit breaker is tripped. Ensure the power button is pressed.
  • Poor suction: Verify that the filters are clean and properly installed. For ducted models, check for obstructions in the ductwork. For ductless models, ensure carbon filters are not clogged.
  • Excessive noise: Ensure all mounting screws are tight and the filters are correctly seated. Check for any loose components or obstructions in the fan.
  • Lights not working: Check if the light button is pressed. If individual LED lights are out, they may need replacement by a qualified technician.

For persistent issues, contact customer support or a qualified service technician.
