2. Safety Information

3. Product Components

4. Installation

The AVERA CEP90 kitchen hood is designed for wall-mounted installation. A basic installation kit is included.

4.1. Unpacking and Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the hood from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the appliance for any damage during transit. Do not install if damaged.
  3. Ensure all components listed in the manual are present.

4.2. Mounting the Hood

  • The hood must be mounted on a sturdy wall.
  • Maintain a correct distance of 65 to 70 cm between the bottom of the hood and the cooking surface (grill/stove).

4.3. Ventilation Modes

The hood supports two ventilation modes:

  • Duct Mode (Exterior Ventilation): Air is expelled outside through a duct. This requires connecting the hood to an external ventilation system.
  • Recirculation Mode (Interior Ventilation): Air is filtered through the activated carbon filter and then returned to the kitchen. This mode is used when external ducting is not possible.

5. Operation

The AVERA CEP90 features an intuitive control panel for easy operation.

5.1. Power On/Off

  • Press the On/Off button (usually marked with a power symbol) to turn the hood on or off.

5.2. Fan Speed Control

The hood offers three fan speeds to adapt to your cooking needs:

  • Low Speed (48 dB): Ideal for light cooking or simmering.
  • Medium Speed (56 dB): Suitable for general cooking.
  • High Speed (62 dB): For heavy cooking, frying, or when strong odors are present.

Press the corresponding speed buttons on the control panel to select your desired setting.

5.3. LED Lighting

  • Press the LED light button (usually marked with a light bulb symbol) to turn the cooking area lights on or off.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your hood.

6.1. Cleaning the Exterior

  • Wipe stainless steel surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with warm water and mild soap.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface.
  • Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.

6.2. Cleaning Metallic Mesh Filters

The three metallic mesh filters should be cleaned frequently, depending on usage.

  1. Turn off the hood and disconnect it from the power supply.
  2. Remove the filters by pulling the release latch and lowering them.
  3. Wash the filters by hand in warm, soapy water or in a dishwasher.
  4. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before re-installing.

6.3. Replacing Activated Carbon Filter (for Recirculation Mode)

If you are using the hood in recirculation mode, the activated carbon filter needs to be replaced approximately every 6 months, or more frequently depending on usage.

  1. Turn off the hood and disconnect it from the power supply.
  2. Remove the metallic mesh filters to access the carbon filter.
  3. Remove the old carbon filter and dispose of it properly.
  4. Install a new AVERA activated carbon filter, ensuring it is securely in place.
  5. Re-install the metallic mesh filters.

7. Troubleshooting

Before contacting customer service, please check the following common issues:
