Keurig K-Crema Single Serve Coffee Maker User Manual

Introduction

The Keurig K-Crema Single Serve Coffee Maker is designed to provide a versatile brewing experience, offering both classic coffee and crema-topped beverages. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your K-Crema brewer to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

  • Remove all packaging materials and tape from the brewer.
  • Place the brewer on a stable, flat surface.
  • Ensure there is adequate space around the brewer for proper ventilation.

2. Filling the Water Reservoir

  • Remove the 72 oz removable water reservoir from the brewer.
  • Fill the reservoir with fresh, filtered water up to the MAX fill line.
  • Replace the reservoir securely on the brewer.

3. Initial Cleansing Brew

  • Place a large mug (at least 10 oz) on the drip tray.
  • Do not insert a K-Cup pod.
  • Press the 'Classic' button to start a cleansing brew.
  • Discard the hot water. The brewer is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Brewing a Classic Coffee, Tea, or Hot Cocoa

  • Lift the handle and insert a K-Cup pod into the K-Cup pod holder.
  • Lower the handle completely to close the lid.
  • Place a mug on the drip tray.
  • Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz).
  • Press the 'Classic' button. The brewer will begin brewing.

Brewing Crema-Topped Coffee or Espresso-Style Shots

  • Lift the handle and insert a K-Cup coffee pod into the K-Cup pod holder.
  • Lower the handle completely to close the lid.
  • Place a mug or espresso cup on the drip tray.
  • Select your desired shot size (single or double espresso-style shot).
  • Press the 'Pressure' button. The brewer will begin brewing with PressureInfusion Technology.

Adjustable Drip Tray

The drip tray is adjustable with three height options to accommodate various cup sizes, including travel mugs. Simply remove and re-position the drip tray to the desired height.

K-Cup Pod Compatibility

The Keurig K-Crema is compatible with any K-Cup pod. The Pressure Setting is specifically designed for use with coffee and espresso beverages to achieve the desired crema.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Brewer

  • Drip Tray: The drip tray can accumulate spills. Remove it and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Water Reservoir: Periodically clean the water reservoir with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • K-Cup Pod Holder: The K-Cup pod holder can be removed for cleaning. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the brewer with a damp, non-abrasive cloth.

Descaling

Mineral deposits can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance. The 'Descale' indicator light will illuminate when descaling is recommended. Refer to the full Keurig descaling instructions on the official Keurig website for the complete process.

Troubleshooting
