2. Safety Information
WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions before operating this lawn mower. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
General Safety Rules:
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, sturdy footwear, and hearing protection.
- Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 50 feet (15 meters) away from the operating area.
- Inspect the area to be mowed and remove all objects such as rocks, sticks, wires, bones, and other debris that could be thrown by the blade.
- Do not operate the mower in wet grass or rain.
- Never operate the mower with damaged guards or without safety devices in place.
- Disconnect the battery pack before cleaning, servicing, or storing the mower.
- Avoid mowing on steep slopes. Mow across the face of slopes, never up and down.
- Store the mower indoors in a dry, secure place out of reach of children.
3. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your MZK Cordless Electric Lawn Mower for first use.
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Verify that all parts listed in the packing list are present.
- Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
3.2 Handle Assembly
- Unfold the handle and secure it in the upright position using the quick-release levers or knobs provided. Ensure the handle is firmly locked.
3.3 Grass Catcher Assembly (if applicable)
- Assemble the grass catcher according to the diagrams in your separate assembly guide.
- Lift the rear discharge flap and hook the grass catcher onto the mower. Ensure it is securely attached.
3.4 Battery Installation and Charging
The MZK lawn mower operates on two 20V batteries (40V total). Ensure both batteries are fully charged before use.
- Insert the two 20V batteries into the battery compartments on top of the mower until they click into place.
- To charge the batteries, remove them from the mower and place them into the dual-port fast charger.
- Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status.
- Once fully charged, remove the batteries from the charger.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Cutting Height
The mower features a 4-position height adjustment lever, allowing you to select cutting heights from 1.2 inches to 1.5 inches.
- Ensure the mower is turned off and the battery is removed before adjusting the height.
- Locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower deck.
- Pull the lever outwards and move it to the desired height setting. Ensure all four wheels are at the same height.

4.2 Starting the Lawn Mower
The MZK mower features a two-step activation process for safety.
- Ensure the batteries are fully charged and correctly installed.
- Press and hold the safety lock button (usually located on the handle).
- While holding the safety lock button, pull the bail switch lever towards the handle. The motor will start.
- Release the safety lock button once the motor is running.

4.3 Mowing Techniques
- For best results, mow dry grass.
- Overlap cutting swaths slightly to ensure complete coverage.
- Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.
- For thick or tall grass, make two passes, raising the cutting height for the first pass.

4.4 Stopping the Lawn Mower
- Release the bail switch lever. The motor will stop immediately.
- Always remove the battery pack when leaving the mower unattended, or before performing any adjustments or maintenance.
4.5 Mowing Versatility
The MZK mower offers 2-in-1 functionality for rear bagging and mulching.
- Rear Bagging: Attach the grass catcher to collect clippings. Empty the bag when it is full to maintain optimal performance.
- Mulching: Remove the grass catcher and ensure the mulching plug (if included) is inserted. This allows clippings to be finely cut and returned to the lawn as natural fertilizer.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower.
5.1 Cleaning
- After each use, disconnect the battery and clean the mower deck and exterior with a damp cloth.
- Remove any grass clippings or debris from the underside of the deck and around the blade.
- Do not use water hoses, pressure washers, or immerse the mower in water.
5.2 Blade Care
- Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. A dull blade tears grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
