  1. Ensure the bike is turned off before charging.
  2. The battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed. To remove, unlock the battery with the key and slide it out.
  3. Connect the charger's output plug to the battery's charging port.
  4. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet (110-240V).
  5. The charger indicator light will typically be red during charging and turn green when fully charged.
  6. A full charge takes approximately 5-8 hours. Do not overcharge the battery.
  7. Disconnect the charger once charging is complete.

Important: Only use the charger provided by AMYET. Using an unauthorized charger may damage the battery and void your warranty.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

  • To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the display unit (usually located on the handlebar) for a few seconds.
  • To power off, press and hold the same power button until the display turns off.

2. Pedal Assist System (PAS)

  • The EB26 features multiple levels of pedal assist. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to select your desired assist level (e.g., 0-5).
  • When you pedal, the motor will provide assistance based on the selected level. Level 0 provides no assistance, while higher levels provide more power.
  • The maximum range in PAS mode is approximately 60 miles, depending on terrain, rider weight, and assist level.

3. Throttle Operation

  • The bike is equipped with a thumb throttle. Gently press the throttle to engage motor power without pedaling.
  • The throttle can propel the bike up to 28mph. Use the throttle responsibly and be aware of local regulations regarding throttle use.

4. Gear Shifting (7-Speed)

  • The EB26 has a 7-speed gear system. Use the shifter on the handlebar to change gears.
  • Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat terrain or downhill riding.
  • Shift gears smoothly while pedaling to avoid strain on the drivetrain.

5. Braking (Disc Brakes)

  • The bike is equipped with disc brakes for reliable stopping power.
  • Apply both brake levers simultaneously for balanced and effective braking.
  • Familiarize yourself with the braking feel in a safe, open area before riding in traffic.

6. Headlight Operation

  • The integrated headlight can be turned on/off via a button on the display unit or a dedicated switch.
  • Always use the headlight when riding in low-light conditions or at night for visibility.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your e-bike.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the bike with a damp cloth after each ride. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
  • Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure weekly. Maintain the recommended PSI (pounds per square inch) found on the tire sidewall.
  • Brake Inspection: Regularly check brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers engage smoothly. Adjust or replace as needed.
  • Chain Lubrication: Lubricate the chain every 100-150 miles or after riding in wet conditions to prevent rust and ensure smooth shifting.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge it to 50-70% every 1-2 months.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and nuts for tightness, especially on the handlebars, seatpost, and wheels.
