4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Power Connection

  1. Ensure the mixer's main power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the provided power cord to the mixer's power input (X.Power Input, refer to Figure 2) and then to a standard 110V AC power outlet.
  3. Turn on the main power switch (W.Main Power Switch, refer to Figure 2). The power indicator should illuminate.

4.2 Connecting Input Devices

The GX16 offers 16 input channels, each supporting both XLR and 6.35mm (1/4 inch) TRS/TS connections.

  1. Microphones: Connect dynamic or condenser microphones to the XLR inputs (A. Microphone Input, refer to Figure 2). For condenser microphones requiring phantom power, activate the +48V phantom power switch (R.48V Phantom Power Supply, refer to Figure 2). Ensure all other connections are made and volume levels are low before activating phantom power to prevent damage.
  2. Line-Level Devices: Connect instruments (e.g., keyboards, drum machines) or other line-level audio sources to the 6.35mm (1/4 inch) LINE inputs (refer to Figure 3).

4.3 Connecting Output Devices

  1. Main Output: Connect your powered speakers or PA system to the L MAIN OUT R (Left/Right Main Output) XLR or TRS jacks (refer to Figure 5).
  2. Control Room Monitor: Connect studio monitors to the CTRL ROOM OUT jacks (refer to Figure 5) for dedicated monitoring.
  3. Headphones: Plug your headphones into the PHONES jack (J.Headphone Jack, refer to Figure 2 and Figure 5) for personal monitoring.
  4. Auxiliary Send: Use the AUX SEND jack (refer to Figure 5) to send a mix to external effects processors or monitor wedges.

  3. Auxiliary Send (AUX, refer to Figure 3): Adjust the AUX knob to send a portion of the channel's signal to the auxiliary output for external effects or monitor mixes.
  4. Effects Send (FX, refer to Figure 3): Adjust the FX knob to send a portion of the channel's signal to the internal effects processor.
  5. Pan Control (PAN, refer to Figure 3): Adjust the PAN knob to position the channel's signal in the stereo field (left to right).
  6. Volume Fader (1. Volume Control, refer to Figure 2): Use the channel fader to control the individual volume level of each input in the main mix.

5.2 Main Mix and Monitoring

  1. Main Output Volume (U.Total Volume Fader, refer to Figure 2): Adjust the main faders (L MAIN R) to control the overall output volume of the mixer.
  2. Headphone Monitoring (S.Headphone Volume, refer to Figure 2): Use the HEADPHONES knob to adjust the volume of your connected headphones.
  3. LED Level Indicators: Monitor the LED meters to ensure your main output levels are optimal and not clipping.

5.3 Bluetooth Operation
