1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your KBSYNT 4K Front Dash Cam. Designed specifically for Honda CR-V 2023-2025 models, this dash cam offers seamless integration and advanced recording features to enhance your driving safety and security.

3. Setup and Installation

The KBSYNT 4K Front Dash Cam is designed for easy, OEM-style installation in your Honda CR-V. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Remove the Original Front Cover: Use the provided crowbar to gently pry off the original front cover near your rearview mirror.
  2. Remove the Original Rear Cover: Similarly, remove the original rear cover.
  3. Remove Room Lamp Screws: Open the sunglasses case/room lamp area and use the screwdriver to remove the screws securing the room lamp.
  4. Remove Room Lamp: Carefully remove the room lamp assembly.
  5. Unplug 8-Pin Plug: Locate and unplug the 8-pin connector from the vehicle's wiring harness.
  6. Connect Y-Type Cable: Connect the provided Y-type conversion cable to the vehicle's 8-pin connector and the dash cam's power input.
  7. Thread Dash Cam Wire: Thread the dash cam's wire through the opening to the room lamp area.
  8. Install Dash Cam: Securely install the dash cam into its designated OEM-style position.
  9. Install Original Rear Cover: Reinstall the original rear cover, ensuring all wires are neatly tucked away.
  10. Connect Y-Type Cable to Dash Cam Wire: Connect the Y-type cable to the dash cam's power wire.
  11. Install Room Lamp: Push the room lamp assembly back into place.
  12. Install Screws: Reinsert and tighten the screws to secure the room lamp.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Button Functions

The dash cam features a power button, a photo button, and indicator lights for operation and status.

  • Power Button: Press once to stop/start recording. Press and hold for 10 seconds to turn off the dash cam. Press again to turn it back on.
  • Photo Button: Press once to take a picture. Press and hold for 10 seconds to reset the dash cam to factory settings (this will format the SD card).
  • Indicator Lights: Blue light indicates recording. Red light indicates power/charging.

4.2. App Connection and Features

The dash cam connects to your smartphone via Wi-Fi using the Fuvymyt app, available on the App Store and Google Play. The app allows for live viewing, video playback, settings adjustment, and GPS tracking.

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi: On your phone, connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (named DVR_xxxx, default password: 12345678).
  2. Open Fuvymyt App: Launch the Fuvymyt app. It should automatically detect the connected camera.
  3. Main Page: From the main page, you can access settings, capture photos, start/stop recording, mute audio, change display, and take screenshots.
  4. GPS Function: The app provides GPS tracking for your journey, showing location and speed. This function needs to be manually enabled each time.
  5. Parking Function: After parking, you can enable the parking function to help locate your car.
  6. Journey Replay: Review your recorded journeys with GPS data.

4.3. Key Features

  • 4K Ultra HD Video: Records clear videos at 2160P/30fps with an f/1.6 aperture lens and CMOS sensor, enhanced by HDR technology for optimal visibility in various lighting conditions.
  • Loop Recording: Automatically overwrites the oldest footage when the TF card is full, ensuring continuous recording. Locked files are protected from overwriting. Supports up to 256GB TF card.
  • G-Sensor: Detects sudden collisions or impacts and automatically locks the current video file to prevent it from being overwritten, providing crucial evidence.
  • 24H Parking Monitor: Provides continuous protection for your parked car. Note: This function requires an extra hardwire kit (search B0F26LDFZW) for installation.
  • Built-in Wi-Fi & App Control: Connects to the Fuvymyt app for easy operation, live preview, video download, editing, and sharing.
  • Built-in GPS: Records precise driving route and speed directly into your video, offering vital evidence and tracking capabilities.

5. Maintenance

  • Regularly check the dash cam's lens for cleanliness to ensure clear recordings.
  • Format the SD card periodically (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Remember that formatting will erase all data on the card.
  • Ensure the dash cam's firmware is up to date for the best performance and features. Check the app for updates.

6. Troubleshooting

  • App Connection Issues: If the Fuvymyt app cannot show live view, preview, or download videos, try turning off cellular data or Bluetooth on your phone. Ensure your phone is connected to the dash cam's Wi-Fi (password: 12345678).
  • Parking Monitor Not Working: The 24H parking monitor requires an additional hardwire kit for proper functionality. If you need this feature, please contact customer support for details on the required kit (B0F26LDFZW).
  • Dash Cam Not Powering On: Check the power connection to ensure it is secure. If the issue persists, try resetting the dash cam to factory settings by pressing and holding the photo button for 10 seconds (note: this will format the SD card).
  • Video Quality Issues: Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions. Check the app settings to confirm the recording resolution is set to 4K (2160P).
  • SD Card Full/Recording Errors: Ensure you are using a compatible TF card (up to 256GB). Regularly format the SD card to prevent issues with loop recording.
