Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your JioFind 4G Tracker:

1. Install the JioThings app from your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
2. Sign in or create an account using your Jio number.
3. Click "Add New", then select "JioFind" and choose "JioFind/JioFind Pro" to proceed.
4. Select "Add Manually" and enter the IMEI & ICCID. Choose the appropriate Category, then click "Add".
5. Click "Agree to T&C" and request an OTP. Enter the OTP to confirm.
6. Your device data should appear on the app within 10-15 minutes. Activation may take up to 4 hours.

Important Notes for Setup:

• Perform the initial setup outdoors in an open, uncovered area.
• Ensure your Jio number has an active data plan.
• Upon activation, the first location displayed may be the factory location (Andhra Pradesh). This will update to the current location once GPS latching is complete.

Operating Your JioFind 4G Tracker

Location Tracking and History

The JioFind 4G Tracker provides real-time location updates and maintains a detailed history of movements. You can view past routes and locations directly within the JioThings app.

Voice Monitoring

Utilize the remote ambient voice monitoring feature to listen to the surroundings of the tracker. This function allows recording and listening to up to 30 seconds of audio, enhancing safety and awareness.

Geofencing and Overspeed Alerts

Set up virtual boundaries (geofences) and receive instant alerts when the tracker enters or exits these predefined areas. Additionally, configure overspeed alerts to be notified if the tracker exceeds a set speed limit.

Charging Guidelines

The JioFind 4G Tracker is equipped with an 1100 mAh built-in battery, providing up to 3 days of operation on a single charge. To charge the device:

• Use the provided Type-A to Type-C USB cable.
• Note: Type-C to Type-C cables are not supported for charging this device.
• To recalibrate the battery gauge and ensure accurate readings, perform a full charge/discharge cycle (e.g., twice).
• The device's LEDs will glow for 10 seconds when the power button is pressed, then turn off to conserve power. The device remains active.

GPS Functionality

• A valid data plan on your Jio number is required for GPS functionality.
• For the initial GPS latch, place your JioFind device in an open, uncovered area. The default location (in Andhra Pradesh) will automatically update to your current location once GPS latching is complete.
• The device will always be active. The LEDs will glow for 10 seconds when the power button is pressed, then turn off to conserve power.
• The GPS updates every 5 seconds while the device is moving.
• When stationary, the location shows the last recorded position. It updates automatically after moving approximately 15 meters.
• Note: GPS latching for any GPS product does not function inside buildings, houses, or covered parking areas.

SIM Card Insertion

Ensure the Jio SIM card is inserted correctly into the device. The Jio logo on the SIM card and the Jio logo on the device should face the same direction when inserting. Push until you hear a click sound, indicating it is securely in place.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your JioFind 4G Tracker, consider the following common solutions:

• No Location Update: Ensure the device is in an open area with clear sky view. Verify your Jio number has an active data plan.
• Battery Draining Quickly: Check if the device is fully charged using the correct Type-A to Type-C cable. Perform a full charge/discharge cycle to recalibrate the battery.
• App Not Displaying Data: Confirm the device is activated and linked to your JioThings account. Ensure your phone has an active internet connection.
• SIM Card Not Detected: Re-insert the SIM card, ensuring it is correctly oriented with the Jio logos aligned and clicks into place.
