6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on, slide the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. The laser lines will activate, and the device will enter Self-leveling Mode.
  • To power off, slide the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position.

6.2 Self-Leveling Mode

When the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position, the device automatically enters Self-leveling Mode. The laser will self-level within ±3.5°. If the device is outside its leveling range, the laser lines will flash rapidly, and an audible alarm may sound. Adjust the device's position until it is within range and the lines become steady.

6.3 Manual Mode (Tilt Mode)

To activate Manual Mode:

  1. With the device powered off, press and hold the 'H' or 'V' button (or the power button on some models) while sliding the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position.
  2. The laser lines will activate, but they will not self-level, allowing you to project lines at any desired angle. The lines will typically flash slowly to indicate Manual Mode.
  3. To exit Manual Mode, power off the device and then power it back on normally.

6.4 Line Selection

Use the 'H' button to cycle through horizontal laser lines and the 'V' button to cycle through vertical laser lines. You can activate combinations of horizontal and vertical lines as needed.

6.5 Pulse Mode

Pulse Mode is used for working with a laser receiver (not included) to extend the working range or for outdoor use where laser lines may be difficult to see. To activate Pulse Mode, press the dedicated Pulse button (often indicated by a sun or pulse icon) on the device or remote control. The laser lines will become slightly dimmer but will be detectable by a compatible receiver.

6.6 Remote Control and App Control

The included remote control allows you to switch between laser lines and modes from a distance. For advanced control and greater range, download the CIGMAN app on your smartphone. Pair your device via Bluetooth to access all functions remotely.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the laser aperture and housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the laser level in its hard carrying case in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods.
  • Calibration: While the device is factory-calibrated, regular checks for accuracy are recommended, especially after impacts or prolonged use. Refer to the CIGMAN website for calibration procedures if needed.
