Maintenance
Cleaning the Faucet
To maintain the polished chrome finish and ensure longevity, follow these cleaning guidelines:
- Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water after cleaning and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
Washerless Cartridge System
This faucet is equipped with a washerless cartridge system designed to prevent water dripping. If you experience persistent dripping, it may indicate an issue with the cartridge or debris in the water lines. Consult the troubleshooting section or a professional plumber.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Faucet drips or leaks from spout. | Debris in cartridge, worn cartridge, or improper installation. | Ensure handles are fully closed. Flush water lines. If dripping persists, the cartridge may need cleaning or replacement. Consult a plumber if necessary. |
| Low water pressure from faucet. | Aerator clogged, water supply partially closed, or plumbing issue. | Remove and clean the aerator at the end of the spout. Check that both hot and cold water supply valves are fully open. Consult a plumber if the issue persists. |
| Side spray not working or low pressure. | Main faucet not on, spray head clogged, or hose kinked. | Ensure main faucet handles are open. Check side spray nozzle for clogs and clean if necessary. Ensure the spray hose is not kinked under the sink. |
| Water spraying from sides of nozzle. | Defect in threads or improper connection of aerator/spout. | Check if the aerator is securely tightened. If the issue persists and appears to be a manufacturing defect, contact Aqua Vista customer support. |
