Wildeway FW11-Lite Folding Electric Bike User Manual

Model: FW11-LITE

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Wildeway FW11-Lite Folding Electric Bike. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your e-bike. Please read this manual thoroughly before your first ride and keep it for future reference.

Your Wildeway FW11-Lite is designed for both commuting and off-road adventures, featuring a powerful motor, long-range battery, and a convenient folding design. Always prioritize safety and adhere to local regulations when riding.

2. Safety Guidelines

  • Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding.
  • Familiarize yourself with local traffic laws and regulations for electric bikes.
  • Perform a pre-ride inspection before each use, checking brakes, tires, and battery.
  • Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Avoid riding in extreme weather conditions or on excessively slippery surfaces.
  • Ensure the battery is securely locked in place before riding.
  • Do not modify the e-bike's electrical system or components.

3. Setup and Assembly

Your Wildeway FW11-Lite electric bike arrives 85% pre-assembled. The remaining assembly steps are straightforward and require basic tools, which are included in the package.

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

  • Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging.
  • Check for any visible damage during shipping. Contact customer support immediately if you find any issues.
  • Verify all included components: Ebike, charger, user manual, and tools.

3.2 Handlebar and Seat Installation

  • Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and tighten the quick-release lever or bolts securely. Ensure the handlebars are aligned with the front wheel.
  • Insert the seat post into the frame's seat tube. Adjust the seat height for a comfortable riding position, ensuring your feet can touch the ground when stopped. Secure with the quick-release lever.

3.3 Pedal Installation

  • Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The right pedal tightens clockwise, and the left pedal tightens counter-clockwise.
  • Apply a small amount of grease to the pedal threads.
  • Carefully thread each pedal into its respective crank arm by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten firmly with a wrench.

3.4 Tire Inflation

Inflate the 20" x 3.0" fat tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall. Proper tire pressure is crucial for safety and performance.

3.5 Battery Installation and Initial Charge

  • Insert the 48V 15Ah removable battery into its compartment on the frame. Ensure it clicks into place and use the key to lock it securely.
  • Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the battery charging port, then plug it into a standard wall outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when fully charged (typically 6-8 hours).

4.3 Riding Modes

The FW11-Lite offers three versatile riding modes:

  • Pure Pedal Mode (Cycling Mode): Ride like a traditional bicycle with no motor assistance. Engage in fitness activities.
  • Pedal-Assist Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Adjust the assist level using the controls on the handlebars to reduce effort and boost efficiency, especially on inclines.
  • Pure Electric Mode (Throttle): Use the throttle to engage the motor without pedaling. This allows you to reach your destination swiftly.

4.5 Braking System

The FW11-Lite is equipped with mechanical disc brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously for effective and controlled stopping. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds.
