Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
- Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
- For resin bands and cases, you can use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish.
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 20 BAR (200 meters). This means it is suitable for everyday use, showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress. Do not use the watch for scuba diving unless specifically rated for such activities.
Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Minute Hand Shakes or Shifts: Due to the magnetic holding structure (Shock Release Hand), the minute hand may temporarily shake or shift out of position after an impact or vibration. This is normal and the hand will return to the correct position within a few minutes. This is not a malfunction.
- Incorrect Time: Ensure your home city code and Daylight Saving Time (DST) settings are correct. If the time is still incorrect, perform a manual time adjustment as described in the 'Setup' section.
- Digital Display is Blank or Dim: This may indicate a low battery. Refer to the 'Battery Replacement' section.
- Buttons Not Responding: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable) or that the battery is not depleted. If the issue persists, a reset may be required (consult a service center).
