Setup

1. SD Card Installation

Insert the Lexar 32GB SD Card into the designated slot on the camera. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.

2. Power Source Connection (Battery Belt & Solar Panel)

The TACTACAM Reveal Ultra is designed for extended power solutions. You can utilize the included Battery Belt and Solar Panel for prolonged operation.

  • Battery Belt: Secure the Battery Belt to a tree or post using the provided strap. Connect the supplied cable from the Battery Belt's output port to the camera's input port. To check the charge level, press the button on the Battery Belt; the LED indicators will illuminate.
  • Solar Panel: Mount the Solar Panel above the camera in a location with maximum sun exposure. Connect the Solar Panel's output cable to the camera's input port. The Solar Panel will continuously charge the camera's internal battery or connected Battery Belt.

3. Camera Mounting

Securely mount the camera to a tree or post using the provided strap. Ensure the camera is stable and pointed towards the desired monitoring area. The 2-inch LCD screen can assist with aiming.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Locate the power button on the camera. Press and hold to power the camera on or off. The LCD screen will display the startup sequence.

2. Photo and Video Modes

The Reveal Ultra supports 4K photo capture and 1080P video recording. Use the camera's menu system, accessible via the 2-inch LCD screen and navigation buttons, to select your preferred capture mode and settings.

3. Live Streaming

For live video streaming, a subscription is required. Refer to the TACTACAM app for details on activating and managing your live streaming service. Once activated, you can view real-time footage directly on your smartphone.

4. Flash Settings

The camera features a switchable infrared flash. You can choose between:

  • Low-Glow: Provides an extended range with a subtle red glow, suitable for general night vision.
  • No-Glow: Offers complete stealth with no visible light, ideal for sensitive wildlife or security applications.

Adjust this setting through the camera's menu.

5. Active GPS Tracking

The integrated GPS functionality allows you to track your camera's exact location. This feature remains active even if the device is powered off, providing security and peace of mind.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use the provided microfiber cleaning cloth to gently wipe the camera lens and body. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • SD Card Management: Regularly check and format your SD card to ensure optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption.
  • Battery Check: Periodically check the charge level of your Battery Belt or internal battery, especially during prolonged deployments.

  • Camera Not Powering On: Ensure batteries are fully charged and correctly inserted. Check connections if using the Battery Belt or Solar Panel.
