6.2. Power Wiring

  1. Connect the red power cable (with in-line fuse holder) to the positive terminal of your car battery.
  2. Route the power cable safely through the firewall into the vehicle's cabin, avoiding sharp edges or moving parts.
  3. Connect the black ground wire to a clean, unpainted metal surface on the vehicle's chassis. Ensure a good electrical connection.
  4. Connect the blue remote turn-on cable to the remote output of your head unit. If your head unit does not have a remote output, you can use the high-level input's auto-turn-on feature (see section 6.3).

6.3. Signal Input Wiring (RCA or High-Level)

Choose one of the following methods to connect the audio signal:

Option 1: Low-Level Input (RCA)

  • If your head unit has RCA pre-outputs, connect the supplied RCA audio cable from the head unit's subwoofer output to the 'LOW LEVEL' inputs on the subwoofer.

Option 2: High-Level Input (Speaker Wires)

  • If your head unit does not have RCA outputs, use the supplied high-level input harness. Connect the speaker wires from your head unit (or rear speakers) to the corresponding inputs on the harness.
  • When using high-level inputs, the subwoofer's 'AUTO POWER ON' feature will detect the audio signal and turn the amplifier on automatically. Ensure the 'AUTO POWER ON' switch on the subwoofer is in the 'ON' position.

NOTE: Do not connect BOTH the high-level and low-level inputs at the same time.

6.4. Remote Bass Level Controller Installation

Install the remote bass level controller in an easily accessible location within the driver's reach, such as under the dashboard or in the center console. Connect the remote control cable to the 'REMOTE CONTROL' port on the subwoofer.

7. Operating Instructions

Once installed, you can adjust the subwoofer's settings for optimal sound performance.

7.1. Control Panel Overview

  1. Phase Switch (0°/180°): Adjusts the phase of the subwoofer output to match the main speakers, preventing cancellation and improving bass impact. Experiment with both settings to find the best sound.
  2. Low Pass Filter (LPF) (50-150Hz): Controls the upper frequency limit of the subwoofer. Set it to blend smoothly with your main speakers. A common starting point is 80-100Hz.
  3. Bass Boost (0-24dB): Increases the bass output at a specific frequency. Use sparingly to avoid distortion.
  4. Gain Input (Min/Max): Matches the output level of your head unit to the subwoofer. Start at minimum and slowly increase until the bass blends with your system without distortion.
  5. Remote Level Control: The external remote knob allows for convenient adjustment of the subwoofer's output level from the driver's seat.

8. Maintenance

  • Regularly check all wiring connections for tightness and corrosion.
  • Keep the subwoofer clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the subwoofer to prevent overheating.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the subwoofer.
