  • When used on vehicles, operate at speeds below 80 km/h (approximately 50 mph) to prevent detachment.
  • Always double-check that all screws and connections are securely tightened before beginning any recording.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the vacuum suction cup and the contact surface with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal adhesion. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the boom arm and suction cup in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect all moving parts, screws, and the suction cup for any signs of wear or damage. Replace components if necessary.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Suction cup does not hold securely. Surface is dirty, wet, uneven, or porous. Insufficient vacuum created. Clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly. Ensure the surface is smooth and non-porous. Pump until the red indicator line is fully hidden.
Arm or camera moves during use. Locking knobs are not tightened sufficiently. NATO clamp is loose. Exceeded maximum load capacity. Ensure all locking knobs on the arm and the NATO clamp are fully tightened. Verify the weight of your equipment does not exceed 18 oz (500 g).
Difficulty adjusting arm position. Locking knobs are too tight. Loosen the relevant locking knobs slightly to allow for adjustment, then re-tighten.
