Operating Instructions

Always ensure the caliper jaws are clean before taking measurements. Avoid applying excessive force, which can lead to inaccurate readings or damage the instrument.

1. External Measurement

  1. Open the external measuring jaws wider than the object to be measured.
  2. Place the object between the external jaws.
  3. Gently close the jaws until they make firm contact with the object. Use the roller for fine adjustment.
  4. Read the measurement directly from the LCD display.
  5. For consistent readings, use the locking screw to fix the jaws in place before removing the caliper from the object.

2. Internal Measurement

  1. Close the internal measuring jaws and insert them into the opening of the object to be measured.
  2. Gently open the jaws until they make firm contact with the internal surfaces.
  3. Read the measurement directly from the LCD display.

3. Depth Measurement

  1. Place the end of the main ruler firmly on the top surface of the object.
  2. Extend the depth measuring rod into the hole or recess until it touches the bottom.
  3. Read the measurement directly from the LCD display.

4. Step Measurement

  1. Place the end of the main ruler on the higher surface of the step.
  2. Extend the slider until the step measuring surface (the end of the main beam) rests on the lower surface.
  3. Read the measurement directly from the LCD display.
