Operating Features

Native 6DoF Spatial Anchor

When connected to the XREAL Eye, your XREAL One Series glasses gain native 6DoF (Six Degrees of Freedom) spatial anchoring capabilities. This feature allows virtual content to remain fixed in space, providing a more stable and immersive augmented reality experience. You can move around, lean in, or step back, and the virtual objects will maintain their position relative to your environment.

Instant Photo & Video Capture

The XREAL Eye enables instant photo and video capture directly through your glasses. Use the dedicated button on your glasses to snap photos or record videos of your augmented reality view. Captured files are saved onboard the device, allowing you to export them later to your smartphone, tablet, or computer without immediate phone access.

Mixed Reality Recording (Requires XREAL Beam Pro)

For mixed reality recording, connect your XREAL One Series glasses with the XREAL Eye to an XREAL Beam Pro device. This setup allows you to record both virtual and real-world content simultaneously, capturing your mixed reality experiences exactly as you perceive them. This feature requires the XREAL Beam Pro accessory.

Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your XREAL Eye, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to gently clean the camera lens and body. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the XREAL Eye in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The recommended storage temperature is 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F).
  • Handling: Handle the device with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your XREAL Eye, consider the following:

  • Spatial Anchor Drift: If the virtual screen appears to drift or move unexpectedly, ensure you are in a well-lit environment. The 6DoF tracking relies on visual cues from your surroundings. In some environments, such as moving vehicles (e.g., airplanes), 6DoF functionality may be limited or require disabling the spatial anchoring feature.
  • Connectivity Issues: Ensure the XREAL Eye is securely connected to your XREAL One Series glasses. Verify that the Spatial Anchor setting is enabled in the glasses' display options.
  • Software Updates: Ensure your XREAL One Series glasses and any associated applications are running the latest software versions. Software updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes that can address functionality issues. Refer to the official XREAL website for the latest updates and support information.
  • Button Functionality Changes: Be aware that connecting the XREAL Eye may alter the customizable button options on your XREAL One Series glasses. If a specific function is no longer available, it may be due to the Eye's integration.
