Introduction
Thank you for choosing the HOMYEDAMIC Recliner Chair Rocker Swivel. This manual provides essential information for the safe and proper assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new recliner. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
Safety Instructions
- Weight Capacity: This recliner is designed to support a maximum weight of 330 lbs. Do not exceed this limit to prevent damage or injury.
- Intended Use: This chair is designed for adult use. Keep children and pets away from the chair's moving parts during operation.
- Footrest Closure: The footrest requires manual closure. It takes force on the legs to close the pedals. Stand up only after the footrest is fully closed. This mechanism is not suitable for the elderly, pregnant women, disabled individuals, or those with leg mobility issues.
- Assembly: Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and tightened before use. Do not use the chair if any parts are missing or damaged.
- Placement: Place the chair on a level, stable surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the chair for reclining and swiveling.
- Avoid Pinch Points: Keep hands and fingers clear of the reclining mechanism and footrest when operating the chair.

Setup and Assembly
Assembly of your HOMYEDAMIC recliner is designed to be straightforward, typically requiring no tools. Follow these steps:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from both shipping boxes. Lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Identify Parts: Familiarize yourself with the main components: the seat base, backrest, and swivel base.
- Attach Backrest: Align the metal brackets on the backrest with the corresponding slots on the seat base. Slide the backrest firmly down until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is fully seated and stable.
- Connect Wires (if applicable): If your model includes electrical features (e.g., massage/heat, though this model does not), connect any necessary wires as indicated. For this model (NO MASSAGE HEAT), there are no electrical connections for these features.
- Verify Stability: Once assembled, gently rock and swivel the chair to ensure all connections are secure and the chair is stable.
Note: Some users have reported that the chair's cords (if present for other models) might be hidden under a velcro flap on the back. Ensure all connections are made if your specific variant has them.
Operating Instructions
Reclining Function
The recliner offers multiple reclining angles for various activities:
- To Recline: Locate the easy-pull ring mechanism, typically on the side of the seat cushion. Pull this ring to release the footrest. As you lean back, the chair will recline freely to your desired angle.
- Reclining Angles:
- 90° (Upright): Ideal for reading or working.
- 120° (Partial Recline): Suitable for watching TV.
- 150° (Full Recline/Zero Gravity): For sleeping or deep relaxation.

Figure 3: The recliner offers multi-angle adjustment for reading, TV watching, and sleeping.
Footrest Retraction
To retract the footrest correctly and with minimal effort:
- Sit Upright: Shift your body forward to an upright sitting position.
- Grip Armrests: Hold onto the armrests for stability.
- Heel-Press Center: Use your heels to press down firmly on the center of the footrest. This action will cause the footrest to retract and lock into place.
Important: Ensure the footrest is fully retracted before attempting to stand up from the chair.
Swivel and Rocking Functions
- 360° Swivel: The chair features a 360° silent swivel base, allowing you to rotate freely in any direction.
- Gentle Rocking: Enjoy a gentle 30° rocking motion for added comfort and relaxation.
Storage Compartments
The recliner includes four oversized storage compartments, conveniently located on the sides of the armrests. These are ideal for storing remote controls, magazines, or other small items.

Maintenance
Fabric Care
- Regular Cleaning: Vacuum the premium fleece fabric regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner following the product instructions. Test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh solvents, as these can damage the fabric.
Frame and Mechanism Care
- Check Connections: Periodically check all bolts and connections to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
- Lubrication: The all-metal BIFMA-certified frame and reclining mechanism are designed for durability. If you notice any squeaking or stiffness, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to pivot points, avoiding contact with fabric.
- Avoid Overloading: Do not place excessive weight on the footrest or armrests when entering or exiting the chair.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Footrest is difficult to close or noisy. | Mechanism may need lubrication; improper technique for closing. | Ensure you are pressing down firmly with your heels on the center of the footrest. Apply silicone lubricant to moving parts if squeaking persists. |
| Chair does not recline smoothly. | Obstruction in mechanism; loose connections. | Check for any objects obstructing the reclining mechanism. Verify all assembly connections are secure. |
| Chair feels unstable or wobbly. | Loose assembly bolts; uneven floor. | Inspect and tighten all assembly bolts. Ensure the chair is placed on a flat, level surface. |
| Missing parts upon delivery. | Components shipped in separate boxes; shipping error. | Confirm both shipping boxes have arrived. If parts are still missing, contact HOMYEDAMIC customer support immediately. |
