5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Automatic Recording and Loop Recording

Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically begin recording. The device utilizes loop recording, meaning that when the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked files will be overwritten by new recordings. The included 64GB SD card provides ample storage before overwriting occurs.

5.2 G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When activated, it automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. The sensitivity of the G-Sensor can typically be adjusted (High, Medium, Low) in the dash cam settings or via the app.

5.3 Night Vision

The dash cam is equipped with enhanced night vision technology to capture clear and detailed footage even in low-light conditions. This feature ensures reliable recording during nighttime driving.

5.4 GPS Functionality

The built-in GPS module accurately records your driving route, speed, and location data. This information can be viewed and analyzed through the dedicated mobile app or compatible desktop software, providing a comprehensive record of your journeys.

5.5 24-Hour Parking Monitor

The dash cam supports 24-hour parking surveillance. When properly configured (requires a separately sold time-lapse hardwire kit), the dash cam can monitor your vehicle for impacts or motion even when the engine is off. This provides continuous protection for your parked vehicle.

Important Note: For full 24-hour parking mode functionality, a dedicated hardwire kit (time-lapse cable) is required and sold separately. Using parking mode without a hardwire kit may drain your vehicle's battery.

6. Maintenance

6.1 SD Card Management

  • Formatting: Regularly format the SD card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent file corruption. This can be done through the dash cam's menu settings or the mobile app.
  • Card Lifespan: SD cards have a limited number of write cycles. If you experience frequent recording errors, consider replacing the SD card with a new, high-endurance card.

6.2 Cleaning the Dash Cam

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam body.
  • For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth or the provided dust-free cloth to gently wipe away dust or smudges. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

6.3 Environmental Considerations

  • Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for extended periods, as this can affect battery life and component longevity.
  • Ensure the dash cam is securely mounted to prevent vibrations from affecting video quality or causing damage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Powering On:
    • Check the power cable connection to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet.
    • Ensure the vehicle's power outlet is functioning (test with another device).
    • Verify the vehicle's fuse for the power outlet is not blown.
  • Recording Errors / Footage Not Saving:
    • Format the SD card through the dash cam's settings.
    • Ensure the SD card is inserted correctly and is not full (loop recording should handle this, but check for locked files).
    • Try a different high-endurance SD card (U3 or higher recommended).
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues:
    • Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled.
    • Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone.
    • Confirm you are connecting to the correct Wi-Fi network (SSID) displayed on the dash cam.
    • If prompted, enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
  • GPS Not Recording Location/Speed:
    • Ensure the dash cam has a clear view of the sky for GPS signal acquisition.
    • Allow a few minutes for the GPS module to acquire a signal after powering on.
    • Check dash cam settings to ensure GPS is enabled.
  • Poor Video Quality:
    • Clean the dash cam lens.
    • Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens.
    • Check dash cam settings for resolution (ensure it's set to 4K).
