2. Setup
2.1 Initial Charging
The TC3 tester is equipped with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Before first use, or if the device does not power on, fully charge the battery using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the micro-USB end of the cable to the tester's charging port and the USB-A end to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. A charging indicator LED will illuminate to show the charging status.
2.2 Power On/Off
To power on the device, press the 'Start' button. The device will automatically power off after a set period of inactivity to conserve battery life. This timeout period can be adjusted in the settings.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Component Testing
The TC3 tester can automatically detect and measure various electronic components, including transistors (NPN, PNP, JFET, MOSFET), diodes, resistors, inductors, capacitors, Zener diodes, and thyristors.
- Prepare Component: Ensure the component leads are clean and straight. For capacitors, discharge them before testing to prevent damage to the tester.
- Insert Component: Insert the component leads into the appropriate slots of the ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket, or connect them using test clips to the designated test points (labeled 1, 2, 3). Ensure good contact.
- Start Test: Press the 'Start' button. The device will automatically identify the component type and display its parameters on the TFT screen.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Battery Care
The TC3 tester has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. To prolong battery lifespan, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device when the battery voltage indicator shows low charge. Do not attempt to replace the internal battery yourself.
4.2 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the casing or screen.
4.3 Storage
Store the TC3 tester in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it away from dust and moisture.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Device Not Powering On
- Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the device to a USB power source and check if the charging indicator LED illuminates.
- If the device still does not power on after charging, contact customer support.
5.2 Inaccurate Readings
- Perform a self-test and calibration as described in Section 3.2.
- Ensure the component leads are clean and making good contact with the test socket or clips.
- Verify that the component is correctly inserted into the appropriate test area.
5.3 No Component Detected
- Check if the component is properly seated in the ZIF socket or if the test clips are securely attached.
- Inspect the component leads for damage or corrosion.
- Ensure the component type is supported by the tester.
