3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
The radio requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included) for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Earphone Connection
Connect the included stereo earphones to the 3.5mm earphone jack located on the top of the radio. The earphones serve as the antenna for FM reception, so they must be connected for optimal signal quality.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Controls Overview

4.2 Power On/Off
To power on the radio, press and hold the SCAN/SLEEP button. To power off, press and hold the SCAN/SLEEP button again.
4.3 Band Selection (AM/FM)
Press the BAND/PRE button to switch between FM and AM frequency bands.
4.4 Tuning Stations
- Automatic Scan: Briefly press the SCAN/SLEEP button to automatically scan for and store available stations. The radio will scan through the band and save stations to preset memory locations.
- Manual Tuning: Use the UP and DOWN buttons to manually tune to specific frequencies.
4.5 Preset Stations
The radio can store up to 198 station presets (99 FM and 99 AM).
- Storing a Station: Tune to your desired station. Press M+ or M- to select a preset number (P01-P99). Then, press and hold the DEL/TIME button to save the station to the selected preset.
- Recalling a Station: Briefly press M+ or M- to cycle through your saved preset stations.

4.6 Volume Control
Use the VOL- and VOL+ buttons to adjust the listening volume.
4.7 Lock Key Function
To prevent accidental button presses, slide the POWER LOCK switch located on the side of the radio to the 'LOCK' position. Slide it back to 'POWER' to unlock the controls.
4.8 Sleep Timer
The sleep timer allows the radio to automatically turn off after a set period.
- While the radio is on, briefly press the SCAN/SLEEP button repeatedly.
- Cycle through the available sleep timer durations: 90, 60, 45, 30, 15, or 10 minutes.
- The radio will automatically power off after the selected time.

4.9 Alarm Function
The radio includes an alarm feature. When the set alarm time is reached, the radio will emit an audible 'ticking' sound.
- To set the alarm, press and hold the ALARM button.
- Use the M+ and M- buttons to adjust the hour and minute.
- Press the ALARM button again to confirm the setting.

4.10 Time Setting
To set the current time:
- Press and hold the DEL/TIME button until the time display flashes.
- Use the M+ and M- buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press DEL/TIME again to move to minute adjustment, then use M+ and M-.
- Press DEL/TIME one more time to confirm and exit time setting mode.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the radio, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive pads, or chemical solvents, as these may damage the device's surface or internal components.
5.2 Battery Care
If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the AAA batteries to prevent potential leakage and damage to the device.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power:
Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with the proper polarity. Check if the batteries are fresh and replace them if necessary. Verify the POWER LOCK switch is in the 'POWER' position. - Poor Reception:
Ensure the earphones are fully plugged into the jack, as they function as the FM antenna. Try repositioning the radio or moving to an area with better signal strength. For AM, try rotating the radio for better reception. - No Sound:
Check the volume level using the VOL+ button. Ensure the earphones are securely connected. - Buttons Unresponsive:
Check if the POWER LOCK switch on the side of the radio is engaged. Slide it to the 'POWER' position to unlock the controls.
