Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use and maintenance of your Bubbacare Citronella Dog Bark Collar. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure safe and effective training for your dog.

Important Note: The product does not contain citronella spray. Please purchase it separately.

Setup

  1. Charging the Device

    The collar has a built-in 3.7V lithium battery. Connect the USB charging cable to the collar unit and a compatible USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 7 days of use.

  2. Refilling Citronella Spray

    The collar does not come pre-filled with citronella spray. You must purchase a compatible citronella spray refill separately.

    • Locate the gas inlet (1) on the collar unit.
    • Insert the gas cylinder vertically into the gas inlet.
    • Hold for approximately 10-20 seconds to refill the spray agent.

  3. Fitting the Collar

    • Place the collar strap on the middle of your dog's neck.
    • Ensure the spray nozzle is directed towards your dog's nose.
    • The collar should fit snugly, allowing one finger to fit comfortably under the strap.
    • For long-haired dogs, trim the neck hairs along the path of the spray to ensure proper delivery.
    • The adjustable nylon strap is suitable for dogs weighing 8 to 120 lbs.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off

    To turn the device on, long press the Power button for 3 seconds. LED 1 (yellow) and LED 2 (blue and yellow) lights will flash simultaneously for one second.

    To turn the device off, long press the Power button for 3 seconds.

  2. Adjust Spray Volume

    Press the Adjust button once to cycle through spray volume settings:

    • Small Volume: LED 2 yellow light flashes.
    • Large Volume: LED 2 blue light flashes.
  3. Adjust Sensitivity

    Long press the Adjust button for 3 seconds to adjust the sensitivity to barking:

    • Low Sensitivity: LED 1 and LED 2 simultaneously flash once.
    • High Sensitivity: LED 1 and LED 2 simultaneously flash twice.

  4. Testing the Collar

    Before placing the collar on your dog, you can test its functionality. With the collar powered on, say "Woof" loudly towards the audio sensor to verify that the citronella spray is released.

  5. Training Sessions

    Training sessions of approximately 10-15 minutes are often the most effective. Consistency is key for successful training.

Maintenance

  • Regularly check the citronella spray level and refill as needed.
  • Keep the collar clean. Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Ensure the charging port is free from debris.
  • The collar is waterproof, allowing use in splash water or rain. However, remove the collar if your dog goes swimming or bathing to prevent damage.

Important Notes and Warnings

  • Do not use the collar on a dog that is under 6 months old.
  • Do not use this device on aggressive dogs.
  • Avoid over-correcting your dog. Use as little spray as possible to achieve the desired training outcome.
  • Do not use the device continuously for more than 12 hours within a 24-hour period.
  • The collar is designed for training purposes and should not be left on your dog unsupervised for extended periods.
