Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your file cabinet.
- Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Drawer Slides: Periodically check the ball-bearing slides for any debris. If drawers become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the slides.
- Casters: Ensure casters are free of hair or debris that could impede movement. Check that locking casters engage and disengage properly.
- Lock Mechanism: Keep the lock cylinder clean. Do not force the key if it feels stiff; apply a small amount of graphite lubricant if necessary.
