1. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before operating your Karini 1380DS-02 gun safe. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

• Always keep the emergency key and external battery box outside the gun safe. Do not lock them inside.
• Do not force guns with accessories into the safe; turn them sideways if necessary to prevent damage.
• Ensure the gun safe is properly anchored to the floor to prevent tipping or unauthorized removal.
• Keep the safe locked at all times when not in use to prevent unauthorized access, especially by children.

3. Setup & Installation

3.1 Initial Opening & Battery Installation

1. For the first opening or in an emergency, use the provided emergency key. Insert the key into the hidden keyhole, turn it, and then turn the handle to open the door.
2. Locate the battery compartment inside the safe door. Insert 4*AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity.

3.2 Setting Your PIN Code

1. With the safe door open, locate and press the red 'SETTING BUTTON' on the inside edge of the door.
2. Enter your desired new PIN code (3-8 digits) on the keypad.
3. Press '#' to confirm. The green 'OK' light will illuminate, indicating successful code setting.

3.3 Setting Your Fingerprint

1. With the safe door open, press the red 'SETTING BUTTON'.
2. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor and lift it. Repeat this process five times until the green 'OK' light illuminates, indicating successful fingerprint registration.

3.4 Anchoring the Safe

For maximum security, it is highly recommended to anchor the safe to a wall or floor using the provided bolts. This prevents unauthorized removal or tipping.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Unlocking the Safe

• Using PIN Code: Enter your 3-8 digit PIN code and press '#'. The green 'OK' light will illuminate. Turn the handle to open the door.
• Using Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The green 'OK' light will illuminate. Turn the handle to open the door.
• Using Emergency Key: In case of electronic failure or forgotten code, use the emergency key as described in Section 3.1.
• Using External Battery Box: If internal batteries are depleted, connect the external battery box to the port on the keypad. Then, enter your PIN code or use your fingerprint to open the safe.

4.2 Silent Mode

To activate silent mode, press and hold '*' for approximately three seconds. To deactivate, press and hold '*' again for three seconds.

4.3 Alarm System

The safe is equipped with an alarm system that triggers under specific conditions:

• If an incorrect PIN code or fingerprint is entered 5 consecutive times.
• If the safe experiences strong vibrations or impacts.

To stop the alarm, enter the correct PIN code or use a registered fingerprint.

5. Maintenance

• Regularly check the battery level and replace batteries when low to ensure continuous electronic access.
• Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
• Ensure the locking bolts and hinges are free from obstruction and operate smoothly.

6. Troubleshooting

• Safe will not open with PIN/Fingerprint:
  a. Ensure batteries are not depleted. Use the external battery box or emergency key.
  b. Re-enter your PIN code carefully or re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
• Alarm is sounding:
  a. Enter the correct PIN code or use a registered fingerprint to deactivate.
  b. Check for any impacts or tampering that might have triggered the alarm.
• Forgotten PIN code/Fingerprint not working:
  a. Use the emergency key to open the safe.
  b. Reset the system by pressing and holding the 'SETTING BUTTON' for 2-3 seconds. This will clear all existing codes and fingerprints, allowing you to set new ones.
