4. Setup
- Connect the Tool: Locate your vehicle's OBDII port, typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Plug the T200 scanner's cable into this port. The T200 is powered directly from the vehicle's OBDII port.
- Power On: Turn the vehicle's ignition to the 'ON' position (engine off). The T200 will power on automatically.
- P200 Connection: For the P200, connect its power clips to the vehicle's battery (red to positive, black to negative) or an appropriate 12V/24V power source.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. P200 Power Circuit Probe Tester Functions
The P200 offers extensive electrical testing capabilities:
- Multimeter & Oscilloscope: Access these modes to measure voltage, resistance, current, frequency, and analyze waveforms. This allows for precise diagnosis of circuit problems based on electrical values and signal patterns.
- Component Activation: Use this mode to safely activate components like motors or lights directly from the tool, verifying their operational status.
- Fuel Injector Cleaning: The P200 can generate 4 types of pulse signals to assist in cleaning fuel injectors when combined with a car cleaner. This helps ensure optimal fuel delivery.
- Other Diagnostic Functions: The P200 can diagnose battery health, check ECU wiring (0-5V adjustable power supply), find broken wires, locate short circuits, identify bad grounds, and test trailer lights.

5.3. Special Functions (VW/Audi Specific)
The T200 also supports specific service functions for VW/Audi vehicles:
- EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) Replacement: This function allows you to safely retract the electronic parking brake calipers for brake pad replacement and then release them back to their operating position. Follow the on-screen prompts carefully to avoid damage.
- Service Reset: Use this function to reset the oil service light or inspection service light after performing maintenance. The tool will guide you through the steps to clear the service reminder.
- Throttle Adaptation: This function is used to adapt the throttle body to the vehicle's ECU, often required after cleaning or replacing the throttle body.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the devices with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the tools in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: Ensure cables are not kinked or pinched during storage or use to prevent damage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Powering On: Ensure the OBDII cable (for T200) or power clips (for P200) are securely connected and the vehicle's ignition is on. Check the vehicle's battery voltage.
- Communication Error: Verify the vehicle's ignition is on and the connection to the OBDII port is secure. Ensure the vehicle is compatible with OBDII/EOBD protocols.
- Incorrect Readings (P200): Check probe connections and ensure proper selection of measurement mode.
- Unable to Clear Codes (T200): Some codes cannot be cleared until the underlying fault is repaired. Ensure the ignition is on and the engine is off when attempting to clear codes.
