Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your MetryGrow MG-15 Hydroponic Growing System:

1. Install Light Rod: Insert the telescopic light rod into the designated slot in the base unit until it is fully seated and secure.
2. Connect Power: Plug the pump's power cord into the DC jack on the back of the water tank, then connect the power adapter to a wall outlet.
3. Set Light Height: Press the button on the light stand to adjust the height of the light panel. For initial setup, position it at a lower height.
4. Mix Nutrients: In a separate container, add 25 ml each of Nutrient A and Nutrient B into 4 liters of pure water. Stir well.
5. Fill the Tank: Pour the prepared nutrient solution into the reservoir of the base unit, ensuring the water level does not exceed the MAX line.
6. Add Seeds: Place 1-2 seeds into each growing sponge, then insert the sponges into the plant baskets. Place the baskets into the designated holes on the grow deck.
7. Cover & Dome: Apply the light-blocking stickers over the plant baskets and place the clear germination domes on top of each seeded pod. Use shade covers for any unused holes.
8. Start Growing: Once all steps are complete, power on the system and select the appropriate growth mode.

Operating Instructions

Light Modes

The MG-15 features a 24W full-spectrum LED grow light with two specialized modes to support different plant growth stages:

• Vegetable Mode (Blue/Red/White): Ideal for leafy greens, herbs, and vegetables, promoting robust foliage growth.
• Fruit & Flower Mode (Red/White): Optimized for flowering plants and fruiting vegetables, encouraging blooming and fruit development.

Switch between modes using the touch panel buttons located on the light panel. The system includes a built-in 16-hour on/8-hour off timer for automated light cycles.

Watering and Pump Operation

The system includes a quiet pump that operates on a 30-minute cycle to ensure proper water circulation and oxygenation, preventing root rot and promoting healthy plant development. The 5.5L water tank features a clear level window, allowing for easy monitoring of water levels. Refilling is typically required only once a month, depending on plant consumption.

Adjustable Light Height

The light stand is adjustable up to 14 inches (35.5 cm) to accommodate various plant heights throughout their growth stages. To adjust, gently press the release button on the stand and slide the light panel up or down to the desired position. Ensure the light is positioned appropriately above your plants for optimal growth without causing burn.

Maintenance

• Water Refill: Monitor the water level window and refill the 5.5L tank with nutrient solution approximately once a month, or as needed based on plant size and environmental conditions.
• Cleaning: The detachable USB-powered light panel and removable trays are designed for easy cleaning. Regularly wipe down surfaces to prevent algae growth and maintain hygiene.
• Nutrient Management: Follow the recommended nutrient dosage for your specific plants. Over- or under-feeding can impact plant health.
