5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your kettle.

Daily Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  3. Rinse the interior of the kettle with fresh water. The seamless stainless steel interior makes cleaning easy.
  4. The lid and filter can be carefully removed for more thorough cleaning if necessary. Ensure they are properly reattached before next use.
  5. Important: Do not immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid. The kettle is not dishwasher safe; hand wash only.

Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect heating efficiency and water taste. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly or bi-monthly, depending on water hardness).

  1. Fill the kettle with a mixture of white vinegar and water (a 1:2 ratio is generally effective) or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
  2. Boil the mixture. After boiling, let the solution stand in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
  3. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water to remove any vinegar smell or descaling solution residue.
  4. If necessary, repeat the descaling process until all limescale is removed.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your kettle, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
